I put the dividers mid-way through a stack of cards, leave the toilet seat up, and then put my completely empty milk jug back in the fridge.

Divider-at-front here - that way can start with everything leaned back so all the labels are easily visible, lay my finger on the divider for the set I want, then flip that back and the top card of the set I want is right there on top

(Full disclosure, I too did not know ottoth which I prefer and had to go open my 7th Continent box to remember which)

I also always put my dividers in back mainly because snug against the box, you would not be able to see the first divider when looking over your cards

Dividers should always go to the front of the cards. That way you look at the divider and all the ascociated cards are directly behind it.

But if the dividers are in front, you won't see the first divider if it's flush against the box, and since the dividers are taller than the cards you will see the type plus all the relevant cards and then you can easily slip your cards out without flicking dividers.

Where can i get the play mat from?

I can never decide if dividers go in front or back. Thus I'm always ruining my organization. I use file folders at work too. It's a real problem.

The card lists in the back of the rulebook pdf mean I've designed and re-designed my starting deck for my initial solo playthrough so many times waiting for my copy XD

I love the rulebook for this game and primarily for this same reason!

I set mine up and had the classic behind or in front separator dilemma. I went behind and I heard a kind of treasure opening sound like from Zelda so I think that’s right.

I wish the dividers were so much bigger than the actual cards themselves.

Looks great seems like there is plenty of space even if you sleeve etc. When sleeved can do you still have space for deluxe tokens etc or do you keep them separate?

Yes, there will be room for your deluxe tokens even when sleeved. however, if you also have the doubler things might get a bit tight.

Dividers in the back means you have to perform one fewer flicks of your finger when you are searching for cards. If you do lots filling in an office place, this efficiency adds up. If you are only occasionally searching for card game cards, it doesn't really matter. Just know if you put dividers in the front, you're slightly less efficient when "walking your fingers" over the dividers.

I don't really have a sheepdog in the fight about dividers in the front or in the back (I prefer front, because then you look for the right divider, pull that back, and have the right cards available, but it's not that big a deal). I do however have some feedback on the insert that divides the box into 9 compartments. These compartments are *exactly* the wrong size, being about the same size as an actual card. That makes it easy for a card in a less well-filled compartment to slide down and lie along the bottom of the box. And since they're just about card-sized, it can be hard picking it up again. The easy fix for this would be to make the insert 3x4 compartments instead of 3x3. I would also have liked bigger dividers, so you can clearly make out the top of the divider above the rest of the cards.

Where can I get the playmats?

When sleeved, will the expansions also fit in the core box? Are there plans (or did this already happen I. Stewards) to release new backgrounds, specialties etc?

When sleeved it fills the box up pretty fast, but I think the expansion might still fit if you don't have a doubler. If you have the Ranger Card Doubler, the expansion might have to fit in its own box. Not 100% sure on this though! And new backgrounds and specialties are what the Stewards of the Valley expansion is all about. There will be more info when our Gamefound goes live!

@@CoryDeVore my biggest existential issue is deciding between ordering the core set now or waiting for the gamefound campaign (jk, sort of). I assume that the gamefound campaign will allow for purchase of various different products as opposed to requiring the purchase of the core set.

@@seantilson8728 Totally understandable. It'll be probably mid next year when those would be manufactured and shipped. The only real difference is waiting tbh. You will be able to back only for the expansions and add-ons if you'd like.

@@CoryDeVore yeah... I don't think I can wait for the core set. I thought I would to get the second printing, but I don't think I can. I have watched every playcast I can find and I don't want to spoil myself any further.

l can't decide yet who I adore more, the designers who made such an eco-friendly amazing game or this guy)

The eco friendly effort here is REALLY cool!!!! FYI, tattoos are NOT eco friendly 😁

We designed it with true solo in mind and Andrew Navaro, founder of the studio, did all his playtesting true solo. It was a big priority. There are a couple cards that aren't as good solo, so you'll want to avoid those deck building, but I think you'll really enjoy it!

Dividers behind the cards makes more intuitive sense to me.

Dividers are too short vs sleeved cards & if behind the cards you then can't see the writing on the divider. So for this game dividers in front ftw.

Can't believe all the disagreement about divider placement! Lol. It never even occured to me to put them in front of the cards. That just seems so wrong! :)
