I hope by now u figured it out, if not then here's ur answer. Normally u font see anything on the display, but once u stand on the machine it will power on automatically. Just make sure you have a working battery and you have removed the plastic seal. Hope this answers your question. Thank you

2 option hoga, kg or lbs. Back me ek button hai usko press Karo aur kgs me display hoga, shayad aapki weighing scale lbs me display kar rahi hogi

Plz check the direction of the battery, if not try installing a new battery, if still doesn't work, exchange the machine.
Ye model 289 ko chalane men kathinai ho Rahim hai,kindly ise chalane tarika hindi men bhejen.

Omron is a reputed brand, so even if you pay a little extra it's worth it compared to non branded products. I have had other omron products and they do last for years.
