As a California viewer, I’d LOVE a mystery box. But definitely at the very least themed by type of craft. And then maybe themed as well for holidays or even skill level. Like a Christmas card making mystery box then have levels for beginners with more essentials and boxes for more advanced crafters with more rare and niche items. I’m an intermediate sewist and love niche items but I would absolutely get a beginner box to try a new craft if it came with the basics!

Those items you weren't familiar with are a sort of bobbin. I believe you can use them for knitting when using more than one color yarn. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Hi Stephanie, Those are to wrap yarn and when you’re crocheting or knitting you use different colors so you can add onto it. I did a blanket and I use a lot of those in my colors.

What a nice treat from Dorothy. Yes to the mystery boxes, I prefer the holiday themes or category themes (I.e. coastal, dogs, birds, birthday etc.) Or maybe you could do color themes.

What a fun unboxing, it is generous of your friend Dorothy to send you beautiful things. I think mystery boxes with a specific craft would be most helpful. If I received a group of random Christmas items and included a craft I can’t do, I’m likely to be disappointed.

She really is so generous, I'm so lucky! I think that's a good idea although it might be harder to execute since we get so many random one off items!

Mystery boxes that are themed towards a particular craft would be fun. Example: Painters Mystery box filled with paints, brushes, paper or card stock to paint on. Sewing Mystery box with embroidery thread, scraps of fabric and any tools accessories to complement the theme. etc, etc, etc.

Oh my gosh! Just 1.5 years ago I had to downsize all of my sewing, beading, soap making, fiber arts, papercrafting and more, because we moved to Ft Myers from WI. Now I find out that you aren’t very far away from me. I wish I had known sooner but I’ll be seeing you sometime soon. I love your delight when you open a bin or box.

Would love mystery boxes on eBay. And I think themed boxes would be awesome! 😎 I live on the other coast and probably will never get to your shop in person. My mother is in her late eighties and I am her every day assistant and right hand woman and she finds it hard to sit for any length of time. So I will just have to live vicariously through your eBay store and your KZread videos. Thank you for sharing with us!

@@bottomofthebin_ it can be, but I think if you went with the flat rate box and just stuffed it with the theme items might work. I know here in Canada to mail in Canada the flat rate small box is $16.00 I will have to check and see if there is a flat rate box from the USA to Canada. I know I would love to get a mystery box and to a point willing to pay just for the excitement lol

@@bottomofthebin_ I’m not sure but I bet you could use alcohol inks to colour them? I make mine out of writing paper and colour them first so I am not 100% sure how to c9lour these, but alcohol inks travel well with some mixing medium.

I bet there are lots crafters home that are cleaned out by family members after a death and most of the craft supplies go straight to the garbage…. Wonder if your store could be a beneficiary instead? Maybe test out the idea by contacting some churches - they are likely to know of recent deaths and if the deceased was a crafter. NOT at all suggesting you ask for donations- simply to let churches know you exist in case it might be helpful to the congregation. As someone who inherited not only her mother’s craft room but her grandmother’s as well, I am going to have my craft supplies sent your way!!
