Unboxing my first Yeezy Slides (Slate Marine). Initial thoughts and opinions. Socks or not? Sizing.

Checking out the new Slate Marine Yeezy slides I got from the Adidas Confirmed ap!
These are really nice, the more I walk around in them the more I can see why everyone says they're the most comfortable slide ever!
Very glad I went TTS with these, they fit perfectly. Some people are saying sizing up worked better for them but for me TTS is great in this colorway.
I never thought I would get some Yeezy slides but I couldn't pass up trying to get these for retail. I really like this colorway, very glad I hit on these!
As for wearing these with socks, I probably won't much. I just don't wear socks with slides, especially if I'm at home. Who knows though, maybe one day I'll just feel super casual and wear these slides out with some sockage.
*After wearing these a little more, I actually do think that wearing them with socks is the way to go. The material has potential to rub up against your foot and cause irritation. These are so comfortable, a must have if you wear slides often.
**After FURTHER wearing these some more I think I might be going back to my original thoughts about wearing these without socks. All of a sudden the rubber texture is getting too grippy for my socks to slide into the slide freely. Also, for me the whole point to wearing a slide is to not have to put on socks. I’m not going to walk around the block in these or anything. They will be used minimally just going up and down the stairs here and there. I think these will remain a sockless slide for me most of the time. FINAL DECISION!!!

These slides are the most comfortable thing I've ever put on my feet. I'm obsessed with the bounce of these things.

i wasnt a believer of socks at first but after wearing these slate marines outside in the SF city for a day... my feet felt GREAT even after walking countless blocks at the end of the day

I have decided these are good with or without socks depending on the occasion. I like both 👍

When you break it in it gets softer
i was not expecting to win, but i actually did! and they are soo comfortable and for me, it's the most comfortable shoe-like thing i've ever worn! (it's my first pair too)

@@redburn1990 Yes, for me this pair fits tts, but beware these things are known to vary like crazy. I’ve seen a video where someone had 2 of the same exact slide in the same size yet they fit differently.

I see that you also own the Nike Victori One slides. Those are comfortable too (for me atleast). Cheap to get on sale too! Not buying these as i own Victori Ones and the Crock Mellow slides, but i did enjoy the video!

You and I have similar size feet I went tts with the 9 has a perfect fit. I rock them with low cut thin adidas socks.

for me i went a size up cause i feel like true to size would be too snug on my feet and it would get uncomfortable later on.

That’s what I thought I had to do but these fit me really well, not tight at all in fact, maybe slightly loose.

@@Xxsopxxyour experience is EXACTLY like mine. Got my first pair and in size 9 also! They fit a little bigger than I expected so I might try to go for a size 8 if I’m able to
Im a true size 9 but size 9 on slides too small/snug on my feet so i got size 10 and its perfect and comfy.

Now you've confused me, I'm a 350 V2 size 12 and was thinking for going for 13s, I wear 11.5 in new balance and af1, should I stick to 12 or 13?

Man… I would say 12 would probably be best because this colorway fits closer to your regular size. These slides used to run very small but not these recent releases. If you want to be safe get a 13 but expect them to be a bit loose.

I have 7 350s. Never got the slides. But I’m going to Bermuda this summer. I’m gonna get my 1st pair. Bone is the color.

Slides and Foams meant to be worn with socks. Optimal comfort and since they were meant to be worn with socks the rubbery texture will get grimy and give you blisters. I suppose if you wear them at home you should be fine but you will lose a bit of comfort

Makes sense, I was wearing them with socks this morning. I think I like it more like that. Just casual around the house for me but yeah, less grime is always good.

I definitely don't rock socks with my slides..they ain't made for socks per YE. I have the same Color and they go well with anything you wear.

Awesome! I have been up and down with how I like them with or without socks. This morning I was leaning towards socks but all of a sudden they seemed to be getting too grippy to slide the sock in easily. It also goes against the whole point of a slide to me which is to just wear instead of socks inside the house. Definitely remaining in the no sock crew 👍.
