Imam Ibn Qudamah or Ibn Qudama for short, was a Sunni Muslim ascetic, jurisconsult, Traditionalist theologian. Having authored many important treatises on Islamic jurisprudence and religious doctrine, including one of the standard works of Hanbali law, the revered al-Mug̲h̲nī, Ibn Qudamah is highly regarded in Sunnism for being one of the most notable and influential thinkers of the Hanbali school of orthodox Sunni jurisprudence. Within that school, he is one of the few thinkers to be given the honorific epithet of Shaykh of Islam, which is a prestigious title bestowed by Sunnis on some of the most important thinkers of their tradition. A proponent of the classical Sunni position of the "differences between the scholars being a mercy," Ibn Qudamah is famous for having said: "The consensus of the Imams of jurisprudence is an overwhelming proof and their disagreement is a vast mercy.

I watched your video on doing Masha on Jawrabayn. But aren't most regular socks in some way see-through (like where the heels are)? Can one still make Masha on them if they are thick but the skin is still see-through in some areas where the stitchings meets?

The books here in Egypt are very expensive, my salary is not enough to buy the interpretation of Al-Qartabi. The book is for 2,600 pounds and my salary is 1,500 pounds. 😢😢😢

AsSalamualaikum, is it not the Sunnah for one to place his hands before the his knees when going into sujood based on the following hadith: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, When any one of you prostrates, let him not go down as the camel does; let him put his hands down before his knees. Reported by Ahmad , Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, and al-Nisaai If the sheikh could make a small video clarifying this or please or reply to this comment would be great. JazakAllah Khair

He started with the books of the Mutawasitoon (middle period) of the Hanbali Fuqaha. Majority of the Hanabilah these days advise the students to first start with the books of the Mutaakhiroon (latter period) Fuqaha of the Hanabilah like Umdah al-Talib, Akhsar al-Mukhatasaraat, Zaad al-Mustaqni' etc

I think he mentioned that he lived in Jordan for a period of time, so he forced himself to learn Fusha (classical arabic)

He learned under various scholars. The arabic playlist which is there on Masjid Ribat channel, Shaikh teaches the book which is written by his teacher from Pakistan.
