I can practically hear her hissing “MIIIIIIINNNEE” when you were trying to get her out of her paper towels. Because they were definitely hers at that point. 😂

Not kidding, by the time you got her out, I had the time to close up the reception, help someone find their way within the airport check-in system, go to Starbucks, buy a drink, and I was getting in the bus when you finally managed to put her in her enclosure. You are dedicated.

When even Exotics Lair is scared, you know you’ve got yourself one hell of a serious spider.

Looked to me like a fairly friendly first meeting, she would have been really happy with some freedom to move and some fresh water. Hope you fed her reasonably quickly, it's not like she was travelling first class with snacks

Heard her hiss when he was opening the container and i admire him for not taking a 5 minutes break right after. Edit: i would have just left her to come out on her own because she's already in the enclosure. She didn't grand charge you and that's a win win.

They‘re mostly packed like that because that‘s what they need. Most tarantulas don’t like too much room. Their self made tunnels are never much wider than their body. It’s easier to catch their prey inside their tunnels when they‘re narrow. If they find their spot they won’t move if they don’t have to and prey will be around. These creatures are easy to be cared for in really almost nature like conditions.

Imagine being forced to move to a new place but to get there you have to endure a 5 hour car ride in the backseat with no legroom and no breaks. Then once you arrive some opens your door and starts poking you with a paint brush.

Quick question, when u are ready to put her into her new home why don't u just put the plastic container she's in with the top off & just leave her & let her come out on her own ? She really didn't seem to aggressive until u were try to get her out with the brush. She's probably scared to death & then this fuzzy thing is after her & she's being pushed & turned upright to get out I'm sure she was just scared & trying to defend herself. I know to get the video u have to stretch it out but I think just letting them( spiders) get acclimated to her new home with no interference she would probably or future spiders wouldn't seem so aggressive. Then they could get out at their own pace & comfort level! I mean ur the tarantula guy so I'm sure u got this without outside help just a suggestion.🤗 Anyway she is absolutely beautiful & black is my favorite color! 😊🕷️🕸️

I was on the edge of my chair the entire video....glad you got her squared away, she's gorgeous.

We have geckos and snakes. We always put the packing in the enclosure and let them come out on their own. You should give it a try.
