That, was a fierce fight, Manila. I'm from Columbus Ohio, and my father in law served with the 1st Cav Div, and was wounded in Manila. The 37th ID was an Ohio National Guard division. Both of these divisions were the primary units in this battle, along with, I wanna say the 17th AB. The history behind this battle is shocking. Much suffering by the civilian population of Manila, it's gut wrenching and heartbreaking.

Such a fun pair of games. Thanks for this. Manila is tense and fun.

Oh man, the Battle of Manila.

I've been trying to keep an eye on this game after watching a play of the first game in the series. I really like the concept, and play solo almost exclusively (being a hermit). So thanks for a good look at this game. I think I'm going to take the plunge.

Manila's map and counter artist Charles Kibler was just inducted into the CSR Hall of Fame. The base map is a late 1945 Red Cross map. Permission to use the cover art was obtained by contacting the Dietz website. (Oh yea, and cross post at BGG!)

I'm excited to see the unboxing, but I can't wait for a review/playthrough. I live a million miles past the ass end of nowhere, and I'm lacking opponents for wargames so I'm always excited to see solitaire games. I know very little about the war in the Philipines so I'm curious to see your take.
