    Are you saying “classic cotton” thread? You use cotton thread for patches? I thought the Madeira cotton thread was Burmilana and the classic was rayon? I’m in the US though so maybe it’s different here.

    Sorry! I do this all the time! It’s classic rayon thread. I’m in a bad habit of calling it cotton

    @@pinkbirdembroidery8281 ooooh, okay! Thank you for clarifying! The Burmilana is so expensive, I thought maybe you had something different where you are-I have been looking for cotton embroidery thread to get a vintage look and wondered if there were more options than I was seeing here. Have you had any problems with the color on the rayon thread running in the wash? I know that wouldn’t be an issue on patches but I’ve been afraid to try it for shirts and sweatshirts and towel monograms etc. Thoughts?

    cotton threads? they look like polyester
