And what would be the use of having it in that version other than as a collection? If you do not update, it is practically in an obsolete version that does not allow you to use almost any relevant application today.

@@Guishe96That’s right, but devices on old iOS Versions are very rare and collectors would pay lot more for a phone on an old Version as when it was updated. Apple doesn’t allow to downgrade devices sadly. But for using it’s better on an newer version that’s right.

i’ve had my 6s+ since 2017 & my most recent ios update is 15.8.1

as convenient as Face ID is, I really miss the homebuttons. They were so satisfying to click.

If you do replace the battery, watch out for the activation errors that come with A9 Chip devices like the 6s, se 1st gen on ios 9 as for an unknown reason it doesn't activate.
