i feel like everyone talks about the shift to 3d but never about the massive quality jump from gen 2 to 3. gen 3 was revolutionary and it deserves more recognition for that.

It's crazy because when gen 3 came out it was popular to hate on as if pokemon was a dead fad. Those games are so insanely better than the first two generations.

Gen 3 was a quality jump from previous gen, but compared with other games of the era, like golden sun, talef of phantasia and other rpgs it was already obsolete in terms of grafic and engine.

@@user-bc2mh2bk7x”no change” It’s got the up to date type chart as well as the move pools It completely overhauled the underground It gave us the hardest elite four and champion out of any pokemon game We got ramanas park It’s got clothing customization as well It removed the hassle of HMs It’s way faster not slow anymore

My younger brother and I playing countless hours on our gameboy is one of the best memories of my childhood. I had Blue, Silver, Sapphire, Fire Red, Pearl and Soul Silver. He had Red, Gold, Ruby, Leaf Green, Diamond and Heart Gold. We both had Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum. Thank you brother ❤

Just the amount of upgrades from Crystal version to the gen 3 games is staggering. To this day i still remember how groundbreaking it was and how everyone was talking about how they were the best games ever made for a handheld console.

Year 1998: I remember exactly where I was at age 9 when my best friend introduced me to Pokémon and told me he just got Red and that I should get Blue so we could trade Pokémon. So many great memories playing and growing up with Pokémon.

I grew up playing Red & Blue, I remember getting my hands on Crystal for the first time - to me, Diamond, Pearl & Platinum are still new, even though they are going on nearly 20 years old now....

I was able to finish my collection and get all Pokemon games too, ngl it feels amazing

Personally with Kalos and Paldea games, I would've looked for the Complete Versions of the switch games, With isle of Armour and Treasure of area zero pre installed on the games, aside from that incredible unboxing video loved every minute of this vid

Very nice. The older games still new in the box cost a few thousand dollars so this is insane

Glad I got all these at retail as they released growing up. The prices have soared.

Crystal Version was released on 2000(JP) and 2001(GBL). Not 2002.

Dang, if you were going to spend that kind of money you might as well could have included the Pokemon Stadiums and Pokemon Colloseum.

@@user-wy2kn4bm7f for your guide CE is the norm that all product sold within the EU needs to respect in term of safety / regulation and so on. A small google search can help you understand :) All the games looks legit as most of them were bought from CeX ( looking at all the flyers inside the games ) a well established and known shop in the UK.

The first bluetooth transfer device was given in leaf green and fire red. Leading a pathway to develop wireless Bluetooth Controllers.

When I saw X, and Sun on the 3ds I remember when I used to play sun so much! I used to be better at X because I had no idea what to do in Sun, but when I managed to find out I played it a home, In the car! Almost everywhere but school. I remember the time My dad forgot to lock the car door and someone broke in his car and my 3ds was in there, just in the middle seat of the car, the thief only took about $2, when my dad told me that while playing on my 3ds after that break in I was like “IM LUCKY!”. I had a nightmare about my 3ds once and I had never played on it again, I’m not anymore but say if I opened my “Dead” *It has to be charged* 3ds my hands would shake so much but now I’m like, “I was afraid of this thing?”. I don’t play on it anymore because I can play other games I have like Arceus, Violet, Sword, Let’s go Pikachu & Eevee. (Sorry that it is so long lol!)

Yup exactly, that's a wireless adaptater that was packed in both versions of the game and enabled connection between multiple Gameboy without using a cable 👌🏼
