Just ask a vet or google what a heathy weight is for your pet and weight it every so often. As well as making it easier to keep your pet in shape you'll be able to notice any sudden weight changes that are the first sign of a medical issue and get vet treatment for them when they need it faster.

My suggestion would be not to look at weight per se though, and instead, look at body condition. People can Google "body condition chart for cats or dogs" to see what kind of shape they should be aiming to keep their pets.

I was worried about the weight of my crestie since she’s my first one and I am constantly learning as I go but I can feel her ribs without seeing them so that helps me feel better

Hi Jade! How old is Arthur? He's doing great - he picks thru his salad to eat the acorn squash and carrot toppings first. He likes zooming around my bathroom floor while I am getting ready every morning. He likes to sit and watch tv with us at night and can see out a window during the day.

I love the snorlax and totoro sitting side by side on the shelf, they have the same vibes. True best buds.

Unfortunately that Chameleon most likely didn't make it. It was in really bad shape and Chameleons are very fragile reptiles :(

That "king snake" is actually a Jungle Corn, which is a hybrid between corn snakes and cali kings. I have one myself, they tend to take more after the king snake as far as personality goes so they're usually pretty chill.

@@cloudcitypod No its not. That doesn't even remotely look like a brooks kingsnake...... it is 100% a hybrid. Literally the only snake that looks like that is a Jungle corn. Do some research next time instead of spreading false information. Also "king snake" is 1 word.

You can tell based on the spotting in the patternation that it is a jungle corn, although it does looks like hypo brooks' kingsnakes which have yellow/black flecking on the sidewalls. But it cant be as hypo brooksi have really distinct eastern kingsnake patternation or literally barely any or no patternation. I dont know much about jungle corns (other than that kingsnake had a cornsnake pattern so it is a jungle corn most likely) but thats definitely the coolest thing he unboxed.

I think the funniest part about these unboxing videos is how some people actually think the reptiles are in the box when you use the chainsaw

There's a fine line between 'silly' and 'stupid'. While Alex is definately a silly chaos, he's far from being dangerously stupid.

I love that the leopard geckos in the first box were named after the velociraptors from Jurassic world 😁

I love the way ball pythons just stay stock still while you examine them lmao Such chill little guys (most of the time :P)

I am very relieved that he included the footage of him gently putting the reptiles back into the empty box after it was opened with the chainsaw haha.

Ah I see the gecko that went under the chainsaw is a risk-taker, didn't give a F about what they were going under. Their spirit is in the right place

11:54 my boa is the same size and I greatly underestimated her until she bit me the first time recently. The absolute power in that animal astonished me. And it did hurt surprisingly bad. Not doing that again.

I gotta admit, although I know the animals aren't in the boxes, you do a damn good job editing it to seem so. Sometimes the transitions are just too good and they f with my brain

@@lucillaloverso7108 A usual video is just record, edit, post. But unboxing videos include setting up 15-20 individual animal shipments within the same day, and then caring for all the animals for at least a few months before being able to sell, verify and ship off to new owners

@@happi0420 I think it's more that the texture change makes it so that he's safe to cut into the foam but won't get the animal. He probably knows the package type between sacks or containers too.

be careful with reaching in to grab beardies. they can sever the tendons in your fingers with EASE. i have a permanently crooked finger tip due to an incident that happened about 7 years ago when my beardie was a year old (he was a very excited eater and i wasn’t smart enough then to consider that i should use tongs). i never blamed him for it and he was genuinely a very sweet, chill boy. unfortunately i had to put him to sleep last year due to cancer, but i guess i will always have a physical reminder to remember him by

@@melodymay4888 i also have lots of experience with reptiles. it doesn’t mean you always know everything and are prepared for every situation. in my instance this was a freak accident but it could easily happen with more aggressive beardies. most reptile people actually don’t believe their bite forces are capable of being that strong when i tell my story. if he already knows? then that’s cool and all and my comment doesn’t hurt anything. your reply was unnecessary bestie

When he goes straight thru the boxes, im always internally screaming OMG ALEX UR GONNA HURT A CHILD and then he unboxes the reptiles perfectly intact and I can chill until the next box
