I love my Kindle! I like to read at night and it's so nice to not fight with a book light! I also have the no adds, I love seeing my current book on the lock screen. 😁

Love my Signature Edition. Being able to use my Samsung and Anker wireless chargers is wonderful. My amazing wife got it for me without adds.

I have several Kindle Fires. I recently just got the fire 8 HD on black Friday because I just wanted to read on it, but also wanted color. So I haven't downloaded Netflix or anything on it. Strictly just read on it. Enjoy your paperwhite

I just ordered the very same *"Kindle 16GB Paperwhite"* without ads for my mom for Christmas this year. I can't wait to give it to her. I also ordered the *"Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition"* for myself too. It comes standard with 32GB of storage and also comes standard without advertisements right out of the box automatically. Then I ordered the Amazon Fire Tablet (Some call it a Kindle Fire for some reason.) It's the *'Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus"* version which is the most high-end of the Kindle Fire tablet lineup. So with my *"Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition"* and my *"Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus"* tablet, I am prepared to get the most out of the whole Kindle/Amazon book experience. 😁 The Kindle is best for reading text and just reading books in general due to its E-Ink display, which is made to simulate actual text on paper. Plus unlike LCD and OLED screens, it won't cause eye strain. However, the Fire tablet is best for reading comics since they often heavily rely on colors to express and communicate things in a way that most any book simply doesn't. Plus the Fire tablet is great for watching videos. Plus since the Fire tablet is made by Amazon which obviously makes the Kindle, that means you get the most optimized version of the Kindle app. The Amazon Fire and Kindle E-readers really complement one another. And owning both means you will be able to extract 100% of the full benefits of Amazon's reading services. I also ordered protective cases and screen protectors for all of the devices. (Very important to keep your devices clean, protected, and well-maintained after all.) So I'm excited to start using both devices very soon now. 🙂

I just got mine too. I have the Signature Edition 32GB. Love that I can have my current read show as my Lock Screen when my kindle is off. I had the previous kindle that came in the color Plum but I really wanted the warm light feature so I upgraded 😅 I hope you enjoy your new kindle! Happy belated birthday and happy reading!!

The fire is also a kindle. It’s a kindle fire I have a very old one and charging ever few days is a very good battery life

I've ordered the very same one, it's my first kindle. Sadly I won't get it for Christmas but it's something to look forward to. I'm not very tech savy so I hope I'll be able to set it up OK. My plug will arrive before Christmas but at least I'll be ready. I was unable to get free Kindle Unlimited but nevermind. Looking forward to testing it out as I've never had a kindle.

Der Kindle Paperwhite mit 6.8 Zoll ist Top.. Hab 2 von denen. Habe mit letzte Woche aber den Kindle Scribe gegönnt nur für zuhause weil größerer Display auf für auf der Couch. Preisleistungsmäsig ist der Paperwhite unschlagbar

for reading purposes I would say the kindle!!! the only downside is there isn’t color, but I can live with that. I love it

I have both the fire tablet and the kindle paper white. And I love the paper white so much more for reading. I stay focused on the book and finish books easier, than when I read on the fire tablet. Hope this helps!

I will always rather have and read physical books but ereaders are the best for travel and if you don’t have much space you can have sooo many books on a tablet

Where did you get a yellow tablet? I have a Kindle basic in white, and Kindle Paperwhite in twilight blue.

@@blondiewithabook It's just a Kindle Paperwhite with pen functionality and a slightly larger Paperwhite display. The display screens are identical except for the size difference. But otherwise, the Paperwhite has all the same features and still allows you to highlight and take notes. Just a bit with more keyboard typing instead of pen writing. The Scribe is aimed at folks who do a ton of note-taking. It's still very much a Paperwhite first and has cool pen functionality on the side. So it doesn't have all the features most tablets have with pen functionality like an IPad or Samsung tablet, or Galaxy S22 with its S-Pen. So aka... the Kindle Scribe makes for a poor drawing tablet. But it is a great E-Reader with great note-taking convenience and a larger display. So if you look at the Kindle Scribe as an E-Reader devise first, it is a wonderful device. (It is a bigger screen Paperwhite after all.) So really the only downside to it is the steeper price and the fact that it's not as portable and it's heavier in the hand. So it may not be as comfortable to hold one-handed. Plus it is missing *water resistance* and *wireless charging* from the Paperwhite and Paperwhite Signature Edition.

There is a Huge difference between the 10.2 inch Kindle Scribe and the 6.8 inch Paperwhite. The Paperwhite is a very cheaply made all plastic device. The display Quality is far inferior. The Kindle Scribe is a Premium device. Reading on the 10.2 inch screen is much more like reading an actual Hardback Book. The Build Quality is far Superior it is an All metal build, not cheap plastic. It is ideal for Students, people who read books 📚 that have a lot of Illustrations, Maps, Graphics and Pictures. I read a lot of Books that are Full of Images. There is a huge difference in reading on the Kindle Scribe compared to the other Kindles.

@JesusSavesSinners Actually, it's you who shouldn't comment on things you don't understand. People have reviewed both Kindles and have described the scribe as having lower-quality overall, like warping issues and lack of any water resistance compared to the Paperwhite. So, by those definitions, the Paperwhite literally is a better build quality. The Kindle Paperwhite also has a higher rating on Amazon and a higher consumer satisfaction rating compared to the Scribe. Also, despite the screen size, the Paperwhite is literally using the exact same display panel as the Scribe. They are coming from the same panel and are just cut at different sizes off of the same fabrication process. They both have the same Carta 1200 display panels. The specs outside of size are 100% identical in every single way. Both are 300 ppi. They both have 16 shades of gray. Same viewing angles, same contrast, everything 100% identical. It's good you like Scribe. But to say it's better for the masses based on the numbers wouldn't be correct. People in general still prefer the Paperwhite over the Scribe in general. If you like, note taking great. But for the majority, people would rather have the features of the Paperwhite. Water resistance is a big thing people do want. Also, the lighter weight of the Paperwhite is a big bonus for a lot of people. The Scribe here on KZread, even by many reviewers have said it's a bit heavy for them for their reading habits. The Scribe is good. It's just not for everyone. Most readers on "average" will prefer the Paperwhite.
