It's crazy how in blind test they keep prefering Samsung photos but then they keep callibg the iPhone "the best and more consistant phone camera in the world".

So, I think a lot of kudos needs to go to Snapdragon for what they did with the ISP in the new chipset. IMHO if Samsung can optimize a bit more and work through their shutter issue, they will absolutely crush Apple down the line.

As a Z fold 4 owner even I was shocked how well it did here, my sister has the s22 ultra and that camera is very impressive

My results: Fold4 - 10 iPhone - 6 S22U - 18 I believe if Samsung fixes the HDR (which I think they did with this week's update), it'd smash even more. Other than that, I think Fold4 is doing much better job than I would've expected from a significantly worse camera system than S22 or iPhone, I'm really surprised.

I’ve shot a lot with the IPhone and have to say it seemed to do extra bad in a lot of those photos. Honestly seemed off to me. A lot of blow out in the sky that I don’t usually see I was wondering if some setting were off. But Z fold did far better than I expected. Very impressive!

Ever since the release, the 13s have had trouble with HDR issues, Apple improved it but not fully apparently! These guys LOVE Apple, they wouldn't tone the iPhone down under any circumstances!

Fold (14) , s22 ultra (13) , iphone (8). The fold 4 started with a bang for me, winning multiple comparisons back to back. The s22 slowly clawed back some ground with its zoom ability and as the shots got darker. The iPhone was a consistent miss with its color reproduction ironically. However, that same color was able to win out in dark landscape settings.

I would like to see a video like this, comparing each phones raw photos. After going through the editing processing. So you can see how good the dynamic ranges are ext. I know most ppl don’t use their phones raw photos. But if you want the “best” photos. Shooting raw and editing is the best way.

Please Less than 1% of cameras phone shooters ever use RAW. And anyone who shoots RAW is going to use a 'real' camera instead. So it doesn't really matter what a smartphone does shooting and editing RAW since essentially no one does it. It's moot.

It’s just the camera that I don’t like because of the oversharpening and overexposure. If the Fold 5 comes with a slightly wider front display and improved battery, I’ll jump to get it. The longer you wait to upgrade, the more noticeable and significant the changes feel 🙂

@@janakirambehara4602 Samsung batteries are dependent on the draw of the lot. Some people have excellent batteries in their phones while others charge the same phone multiple times in a day. Samsung’s control on the battery manufacturing process is not very tight. *Note 7* comes to mind.

HDR was not turned on.. This is why most of pics sucks

With cameras, as we know, it is now mostly about software (ergo Pixel), and that improves with time. so this is very easy to call. 1st-Fold4, 2nd-S22, and third iPhone. That is in order of the latest releases. So a year-old iPhone has zero chance of beating the Samsungs. I expect the iPhone 14 Pro to level up in a few weeks to make the three of them closer.

Age doesn't matter here, even older or cheaper phones can keep up with the iPhone in camera, it's just simply apple not doing enough and the competition just keeps getting better

Makes me feel good about my Fold4 purchase. I took it to a concert last weekend and it did pretty well, but most of the photos I took were night shots from a distance, which it doesn't exactly excel at. I still need to get out during the day and use it to take more general photos.

How the fold holding up now bro? I wanna swap my 13promax with it. Any advice or regrets?

It's the zoom on the s22u that makes it so good. Most things can be tweaked afterwards and I use a compact flip for everyday use but the optical zoom is really impressive when you are travelling or need that good shot rather than a snapshot.

12 MP all cameras and f2.2 on the front are starting to really show their age, i think 14 Pros will solve it

One of your sunset shot with S22 Ultra, I had the same problem as well. It is probably better off using pro, take it with raw and correct it in photoshop to get as close as you see in real life. Samsung S22 Ultra struggles with accuracy of brightness/contrast and colours for sunset photos. Same with old Samsung S6 Edge I remember back then. Sometimes colours were off and the brightness too intense in the brightest part of sunset.

This was an AWESOME video!

I change phones quite often and I've been with the s22 for about 6 months now, its battery is very good, it has the most versatile camera with the best zoom, I think that in terms of camera it is the one that best adapts to all scenarios

The two brothers kinda remind me of the Salamanca twins from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul 😂

Will stick to the s22 ultra and if all goes well, will upgrade to the z fold 5 next year.

I believe I chose different photos, but ended up with the same scores as Angelica. 15 for S22, 11 for Fold and 9 for iPhone. Was getting a bit scared for iPhone, but it showed its true colours at night. They are all amazing for most shots. Now to see how the flip compares to the pixel!

Your thumbnail is deceiving. Pro Max cost $1100, in the same configuration 256 gb/512 gb it's $1200/1300. Next generation will be even more expensive.

The Fold4 did great but the S22 Ultra was a bit disappointing . 1) Fold 4, 2) iPhone, 3) S22 Ultra. All phones are on similar level and sometimes it was hard for me to decide.

I can totally tell which phone took which photo based on the way each company processes photos.

Samsung has done a fenominal job in camera software and image processing for the Galaxy ZFold 4. They will update the Galaxy S22 series camera software, for sure.

s22 ultra just received camera patch. seems to make huge difference in hdr. please do one more comparison.

Fold 13, iPhone 12, Ultra 9 & Undecided 1 Fold 4 did fantastic.

Well I got half iPhone and half one of the Samsung. I really love the color an realistic look of the iPhone. Samsung obviously mostly better in detail because of the sensor. But what I really disliked was how Samsungs light in the dark is so blueisch violet. I think it comes dow to personal preferences at the end of the day.

So…pixel count makes a difference, and from there exposure difference and splitting hairs over processing (Samsung goes lower on exposure, iPhone varies and runs higher and improves in darker lighting).

Samsung is about to release or might have released the update for s22 series particular for improvement in its camera. Would be great if you can come with new comparison, that would really show how much samsung has improved. Good Days 👍.

The s22 ultra is still using the old chip that Samsung made for Qualcomm. Starting with the fold four all chips for Samsung phones will be made by tsmc. That's why their battery life is better and my photos are also that much better

I give a point to a phone each time I see a picture I wouldn't delete taken from that phone So if all are horrible in one scenario then I honestly don't care which is Slightly better because I'd end up deleting every picture anyways😂

All 3 look really good in some of the pictures, with only a few of them having a clear winner, a few of the lower light shots could be better on all 3. iPhone 13 Pro = 12 points S22 Ultra = 18 points z Fold 4 = 12 points Some of these were a tie for me so my scoring system is different

I got 14 for the s22 ultra, 13 for the Zfold and 10 for the 13pro max.

I have all 3 of these phones. My Fold 4 is the best with pictures and everything else. iPhone 14 Pro Max ordered.
