For video, AF on s20 Ultra is not good because of the big sensor, and stabilizer on Note 10+ is not good. s20+ won. For IQ, s20 Ultra should be better because of the big sensor, but actually s20+ is as good as s20 Ultra.

I own the GS20 Ultra and these results are disappointing but I'll still take the bigger screen, bigger battery, and better zoom capabilities. The Ultra can still improve with a software update. Samsung is very slow and bad with software updates compared to Apple. The tech media has been mentioning a camera software update for 3 weeks and still nothing

@@badjoke2880 These days it is everything when you're talking year to year upgrades. That big ol set of cameras in the back is the basically thee standout feature. There's the 120hz but since they're basically the exact same experience software wise,I wouldn't call that a reason to drop a phone that isn't even a year old.

I like the S20 series but it also shows how good the S10 generation already was.

No need for a software update, just use pro mode. Done Bring down the ISO and use 30s shutter speed while on a tripod.

The night modes use computational methods though. They take a bunch of photos at once and then combining them. For example, using scene detection they can better expose for the sky, moving trees, stars, etc and then the phone can combine these images into one where noise levels are low, stars and trees are all still and so on whereas one long exposure treats it all the same.

I have not been impressed with the camera updates on my S20 Ultra up until this latest one. Auto focus finally works without having to manually touch where to focus, and macro mode looks AMAZING. Worth a 2nd look for sure, finally.

4:56 this is where Note 10 plus did extremely well

S20+ is my overall choice, note 10 is a tough competitor especially with the pen, however the new possessor and the 120hz display make the new s20 is my choice.

The S20+ won it for me. Thanks for this- awesome comparison. The only thing I ask is that the next time you do one of these, leave the shots for us to look at up just a hair’s breadth longer- it got annoying having to pause the video frequently to look more closely & decide. But- I loved this! Thanks!

Literally every Samsung flagship has had a firmware update in the first 60 days to improve the camera since the s6. People reviewing the camera before that update are all going to tell you the camera isn't good. This happens every Samsung generation. The update that made the s10 and note 10 cameras good came on day 56.

Why wouldnt it be?.. What is it, a year old? lol Phones are not outdated THAT fast. Even phones that are 3-4 years old are still good depending upon the phone. The Galaxy S9 is still a great phone regardless of what anyone tells you. Dont let people or the consumer world make you feel like you NEED a new phone every year. Its ridiculous. I have the Note 10 plus as well and I will be keeping it with full confidence its still a great phone for at LEAST the next year or 2.

Far as myself I'm thrilled with my Note 10+ there's nothing out there that comes even close to justifying I need to get rid of it an I plan on enjoying the 10+ for at least another couple of years.

the HDR and autofocus issues will be fix in software updates.

Never buy a phone for what it "might" do in the future...... While I don't doubt Samsung could fix some of the issues, we've heard promises from other manufacturers who've underdelivered on camera improvements before. Then there is indeed the price, and the fact their cheaper options currently perform better in a lot of cases

@@KML3rd then they should have tested it on a "A" series. The s20/s20+ are better than the ultra. The note 10+ is no chump at all. If I want a night time shot of the stars then I'm going into "pro mode" on my note 10+. I don't care to take pictures of random things at night. The note 20 ultra will come with the software fixes and probably a different lens for the camera to help produce the shots the s20 ultra should be taking. Big fail for Samsung on this over marketed "new" camera on the ultra. This is the first year I'm skipping the new note series phone. Note 10+ 5g cost too much just to sell for $600. Depreciation is a biych for Samsung devices.

@@thepainter6486 The Note 20 will just use the same hardware as the s20 ultra they have invested alot of money in R and D for the sensor and lens used in S20U they won't just change it in their next smartphone the note 20 will just have the benefit of software updates that s20 will have gotten also get since the Note 20 and S20 share the same soc their ISP (Image Singal Processor) should basically produce same image I wouldn't be surprised if they use this very sensor for many generations look at s7 and Note 10 software can do alot

But as an Android user, the iphone comparison is not going to persuade me to switch platform. Even if Iphone is better in a lot of category, I still wouldn't jump over to IOS. I had the note 10 plus and s10 plus. When they first released the s20, my first request was to compare to last year S-series. Before I do any pre order, I wanted to know if it is worth it. But every you tubers put up this Iphone comparison in their first video.

I also love that you‘re open minded for other flagships than Apple‘s iPhones. It‘s always good to know and see what companies offer, though I am more than happy with my iPhone 11 Pro. The software, eco system and camera are everything I could ask for. When it comes to pure design though, I‘d prefer the current Samsung flagships, I guess. Always happy to watch your channel. I already knew Note 10 and S10 have brighter images but overexpose highlights. S20 is a bit darker in shadows but highlights are better. S20 have more contrast and a bit more sharpening. It depends on personal preference. I have both phones and think S20+ is a bit better.

Did they ever fix the camera issues on the ultra? I know they said they were going to fix it in a software update but I havent seen any recent comparisons. I am glad I got my s20+ though I just took some photos outdoors and jeez it looks great. The 64MP option is very nice because you get a pretty large shot and you can zoom in a good bit and keep a nice amount of detail.

Damn man, Samsung really need to work out some big camera updates for the S20 series especially for that ultrawide which has noticeable worse dynamic range

@W J Pro mode is good but it doesn't have HDR, even the raw photos have a ton of chromal noise and the details you can pull out of the shadows and highlights aren't any better than a regular jpeg, so there is no point except if you want to capture low ISO shots or long exposures

Go for s20+ newer processor snapdragon 865 newer ram lpddr5 and 120hz and yes the difference is very noticeable plus it has 240hz touch rate while the note has 60hz so 4x touch rate

1:59 I feel the center one is over exposed. the right one gets my vote. There are times when it's so obviously Note 10 as there are some overly smoothing (removal of details) going on.

The first picture was GORGEOUS 😍😍.

This was an epic video, I dont usually comment but out of 100's of comparison video ...this one made best sense

As soon as you went to the interior shots I realized the potential flaw in testing. Did you tap to meter and focus in the exact same spot on every phone, and how would you know? You can tell the shot in the middle metered and exposed for the indoors. You can even see the clouds out the window are more blown out.

This is a masterpiece, you guys.. Great concept, amazing execution, mindblowing result!

Love my S20 Plus, Works for me and I don't regret the purchase. The pics I've taken with it has been stunning.

Sure software updates will fix issues and improve it but it will also improve the s20 plus as well. Im happy with what I got thats for sure.

Hello there, i think to buy note 10 + or s20+ plus but I am a little confused. So i hope you can help me to decide. I only can get exynos versions and a20+ have 8 gb of ram in my country. For media comsuminf and gaming, which iş a better choice.

feeling pretty damn pleased right now with my note 10+ especially as i was considering moving to the Ultra..... my phone is a total business tool so i need the best on the market. Excellent video BTW.

Honestly surprised that there are that many color issues with the S 20 Ultra, but there will probably be another update to the camera before launch or on launch day.(hopefully)

Having been lucky enough to have owned in the last 18 months the S10 plus, e, Note 9 & 10..pixel 2/3 & 4, iPhone 11,oneplus 7pro & T... Huawei p30 Pro, Mate 20x 5g and comparing loads and loads of photos my best pictures came from the pixels, best videos from the iPhone, best macros from the oneplus 7T...all the Samsung phones were good but not great... I will say that I'm still impressed with the cameras on the Mate 20x 5g even tho the cameras are a couple of years old now. The truth is no single phone gives you the perfect shot yet in every situation.

@@MyNameIsSteveYesitis it's an obsession lol... I don't drink or waste money so I buy as cheap as I can get, sell it for more or less that I paid for it then buy the next one. The secret is to buy as cheap as you can get by trawling thru all the second hand sites and online shops.

HELP! i have updated the phone and tried this method but whenever im in pro mode i can never get the whole photo to be in focus (hgave tried both option of 'auto focus area: centre' and 'auto focus area: multi' However whenevr im in the normal camera mode the whole photo is in focus but the issue is that i want to use pro mode and have the whole photo in focus can you please help?

I heard it's very expensive and the processor it's using is terrible. That's why I'm buying the Note10+ instead. Not trying to change your mind. Just a heads up.

@@JustAZillennial the processor on s20 ultra is the most powerful processor in the world. You are thinking of the Samsung exynos version. That one is not good. The one in America and Canada only has the Snapdragon. So you heard wrong. Unless they were talking about the Exynos version. The s20 Ultra with the Snapdragon is far far better then the note 10+ version. It is also more power efficient. I'm not sure what the processor on the note 20 will be. Do you know?

It holds it value better than the regular Galaxy phones because it's a more premium phone with way more features and memory.

did you take night shots WIHTOUT using pro mode where you Manually set exposure time? Is that not possible on note10+? you should have done that, because that's the only way to take nights shots. Manually. And multiple to be stitched together lat for picture perfect hdr grading.

N10+ because of the ability to use the S Pen as a Bluetooth remote camera control.

Guess I'm staying with the 10 Series for now. Got too excited with the S20 Ultra early this year, until the reviews started coming in.

1400$ with that performance, glad i can't afford them 😁

Hello May be you have not updated your note 10+ to Android 10 because in this update we have the option to take shots with 30 second shutter speed. In Android 9 it was limited to 5 seconds.

Note 10 plus already many update after launch.. While s20 the camera software not polish yet because the new camera hardware we need to wait after couple uodate n we can see full potential s20 camera.. If me i will chose s20 plus or s20 ultra.. Note 10 in lowlight especially people face look very soft while s20 more to natural n more detail

With S20+ and Ultra being new I'd say there will be firmware updates for the camera system to fix a number of those issues shown. Note 10+ has been out for quite some time. I've seen these issues with many phone cameras when they are first released but after a couple of firmware updates my guess will be they will be on par for the most part.

Please do this again, switch the position of each phones and take similar scenes.
