That bus driver needs a change of career.

That clip of the hit and run in Edinburgh as been doing the rounds for ages. I notice that a lot of recent clips on Dashflix have basically been scraping other channels back catalogue and scraping the bottom of the barrel. Probably time to mark it as "BBC 2 when the sport's on" i.e. just a load of repeats.

Bus driver needs to lose job and all his licenses. That said, why is the comment from @MattRuns shown over the clip? Why bother saying it wasn't this cyclists fault but some other cyclists do bad things. Shall we have a reminder on every clip saying how some car drivers are at fault some times, and some lorry drivers are at fault some times. MattRuns' comment just seems like cycle-hatred inspired by the likes of idiots like Jeremy 'agressive racist' Clarkson. Yes there are some bad cyclists, but cyclists suffer the actions of bad drivers all day ,every day, and the risks to cyclists are far worst than what drivers face from cyclists.

While the Toyota is clearly in the wrong at the round about it's probably an elderly driver or someone who was clearly lost and at least they indicated their mistake. No need for the cammer to tailgate and try to intimidate them on the road as it likely contributed to their second mistake pulling out on the second round about.

Nah most cyclists have something missing inside there heads . Given an issue between 3 tons of metal or 3 kg of metal there will only ever be one loser. It is the probable loser that should be taking the most care .

if the bus driver knew he was going to be stopping right in front of the cyclist, then why overtake? it's literally rule number one in the highway code: if others have to take action to avoid you, then you're doing it wrong. or maybe you are showhow talking about a different clip, where the bus doesnt get so close that the cyclist can bang on the side of the bus with his hand, before being completely forced off the road??

5:25, imagine you drive they as a father or mother with your kid(s) on your bike.... I would have done the same as the cyclist and put down an enormous complain at the bus company. This is why we Dutch have mostly the/a protected bicycle lane behind the busstops. Your country really (!) needs a (Dutch) road engineering buro to develop some 21st centr infrastructure. Here they really investigated road accidents and the look(ed) for solutions to make traffic safer for everyone.

Yeah about that: UK road deaths 2.9 per 100k population (3.8 per billion km), Netherlands 3.8 per 100k population (4.7 per billion km). So you think we should copy the Dutch and raise the death rate 31%? No thanks. And as for cyclist deaths: UK 6 per million population.

Ergo Dutch road infrastructure doesn't "make traffic safer for everyone". I'm guessing that you've got an axe to grind or you're one of the people who takes it as an article of faith that "If only we did what the Dutch do our roads would be covered with rose petals". Copying Dutch road infrastructure is not the path to nirvana, if anything is it's road user education - _all_ road users. The UK, despite what people like to believe, has one of the lowest killed and KSI rates in the whole world, ranked 9th out of 191 countries for which there are figures available, and ranked 4th out of European counties including Monaco (ranked first with a rate of 0 killed).
