Great help! One thing I will add, in strafetracking, the objective is to actually strafe AND track at the same time (yes u can move lol). I try to keep the target within a center margin towards the center of the screen and make sure I never stand still. Definitely a game changer training!!

Very great info, and very concise. as a MNK player for over 6 years the learning curve is a bit hard but once you learn it, second nature. make sure to take the info and apply it to what youre comfortable with. Savage did a good job and it helped clear some things i had questions on myself

Good info for people starting out on keyboard and mouse. I use a keypad, Nostromo n52. It's old, there new versions of this type. My thumb for example can mele, reload, add plates and set tactical stuff. I key bind everything else to my liking. Having said this, I couldn't play with a keyboard if you paid me, it just wouldn't work.

I like having my melee and prone on my mouse side buttons, helps me drop shot hella easy and if in a panicked situation I can get a quick melee

Great video!! Going from a controller to Keyboard and Mouse is like learning how to use a stick shift in a car versus automatic shifting. Keyboard and Mouse is like a shift stick. K and M gives you more accuracy and control over your movement (minus aiming assist) plus a more precise aim. Also, I've found that K and M can quickly save my butt when a enemy sneaks up on you and you need to kill the enemy quickly, which is kind of hard of do with a standard controller. Also, I'm similar to you. I've been a controller player since childhood (and still is), but I'm starting to learn how to use K and M for FPS games. In conclusion, as the old saying goes "Practice Makes Perfect".

6:52 actually you need higher dpi an lower the game sensitive so you have the less input delay

i know loads of people think what i do is weird but i use a g502 which has loads of buttons on the mouse. I have always been really bad at just moving my finger from shift to control without taking my other finger off of a or smth so i did what most controller players do. I never want to be moving my fingers away from wasd and my mouse buttons, so i use the side buttons of my mouse instead of control and i want all my main controls as close together as possible. tactical is q and lethal is e, with my melee, crouch, and prone on my side mouse buttons where my thumb is. everyone always advertises 'instant improvement', but it usually isnt. on my life, when i did this, i noticed changes within the first like 2 games it is an absolute life changer and i couldnt recommend it more highly.

Another good tip is your mouse sensor angle. So if I track my arm left to right and draw a line with it, I actually start lower on the left and climb as it goes to the right. I therefore recommend changing the sensor angle in the mouse. So even though my hand climbs slightly from left to right with about a 12° rotation on the sensor, it actually tracks dead level in game.

Good tips, I would add one for console players looking to switch. Buy the mouse & keyboard first before getting a PC. When I started learning MnK, I was using it on my PS4 in Warzone 1 before I built my PC. Getting those early reps in really helped.

To new people to m&k Your sens also known is cm/360 is a multiplication of “dpi” and the in game sens. Even though theoretically 1600dpi and 2 in game sens should be the same as 800 4 in game it goes deeper than that. See dpi, dots per inch, is how much of your hand movement the mouse can read and interpret accurately. So even though they are the same sens,on higher dpi you might have some “shackiness” but also more room for micro adjustments. Also, the latency difference is not a myth.. it’s just not that noticeable unless you’re constantly flicking from static position.

Thats edpi. Cm/360 is a universal measurement to track sensitivity between different games. As the name sugest its how much cm of movement you need to do a 360. I think you already know this and just made a mistake, im just putting this out there for others. I currently play on a low sensitivity of 65cm/360.

I use a g305 and magegee 65% I also have a random wireless 75% that's decent.

Tbh I realized that I don't have to think when clicking items normally, so I don't have to think when clicking targets in game, my scores improved immensely

eDPI is really what is important - in game mouse sensitivity x DPI. You mostly talk about 800 dpi and that's fine, but it's only half of the equation. You mentioned mouse sense, but I would say that you should emphasize it. It looks like you play at ~3,200 eDPI (4 x 800 DPI). If you had in game mouse sense of10 then 800 DPI is way, way, way too high :) Summary, in game mouse sensitivity is just as important as DPI.

The problem I’m facing is that my ads is faster than my turning altho the ads is 1.00 (mw2)

Aiming is the easiest bit the keyboard is the worst in my experience and sometimes remembering to take your finger off the w key when in battles can be hard for me and the hand cramps and stuff like that

Try canting the keyboard to your preference hand position. Tbh I can’t relate, I’ve been on mouse and key since I was 6 so I can’t really remember how it felt when I started

MnK for 30 years.. just cant get it right with playing on controller. Mad respect to those that have mastered it. Ima stick to MnK but sometimes i wished i could use a controller to play from the couch.

The hitboxes is smaller to controller can shoot outside the enemy outline. MnK if u shoot even slightly off it's a miss. Still ppl say it's easier with MnK and its cheating. but that's bullsht it's harder but in the end it's up to preference and what u are best with

I was a decent average controller player knew nothing about mouse and key . I said fuck it I got pc let me get the whole feel . So I switch to mouse and key put mad work in aim training . Played other games to so I would get use to to keys a bids . Doubled my Kd in cod on mouse and key within a year I will never go back to controller. Mouse and key is way more fun

Honestly not that long, I’ve always like fast sensitivities. Even before I started using a mouse for gaming I would turn my mouse all the way up on windows. Back in my controller days I would use 20-20 sense.
