Heyyyy lovelies, so excited to see all of your incredible creations within this open invite collaboration. Please check out this playlist and share the love with the incredibly talented creators who have taken part.
• CCC Open Collaboration...
• CCC Open Collaboration...
In my video I will be playing with shrink plastic again and creating some 80's themed earrings.
Please know that this will be my very last open invite collaboration. I am becoming increasingly time poor and increasingly brain poor as peri- menopause has me in it's grips and the daily struggle to function is real.
I will be handing over the reigns to Tracey from Miniscenes GB she will be announcing her collaboration dates very soon.

They were called shrinky dinks when I was younger. One of my favorite things to do as a kid. After coloring I would wait by the oven to watch them shrink up. So much fun!!

Dear Claire, I’m so grateful that you are one of the first resin artists I ever saw and followed. I deeply respect your authenticity and enthusiastic willingness to just jump in with both feet. I’ve learned so much from you and for that is what I come here for. Even when things don’t go fully to plan, you roll with it and make the best of it. I’ve been binge watching all your videos. Please don’t stop, I love your style!

I love shrinky dinks and UB40! Both since the 80s! 🙌😄 An oven works fantastic to shrink them. I have a tiny toaster oven and it works amazing, and is done in less 2 mins, so I’m not sure how much faster you get them done with a heat gun. It looks tedious with a heat gun. I pop mine in the oven, and then get my next tray ready while the ones in the oven are shrinking. I use my laser printer to print on my shrink plastic, and my cameo to cut them out. I make tiny little pieces for themed resin shaker charms and also custom keychains 😊

Clair, I love that you mention “Red Red Wine” when I think of that song I’m transported back to Clearwater beach in Florida. That’s where I grew up. My mom would take us to the beach and there was a hotel resort type place and they would play that song out by the pool so we would hear it on the beach. It’s a beautiful memory but it makes me miss my mom so much! Sadly I lost her 3 years ago. Thank you for reminding me of the fun we would have! ❤

So much fun claire ❤ enjoyed watching your video (as always) my pawpaw purchased me a pair of skates at 8 years old. I learned how in their house 😅. I would skate back and forth from one end of the house to the other. My pawpaw then took me to the skating rink EVERY weekend (he could barely walk) and he sat and watched me skate. I ended up being one of the BEST skaters on the rink. 😂 great memories ❤ thanks for the blast from my past 😊 get better soon love!!

Absolutely adorable!! Oh my 90s heart !! Did you know you could have used a pallet knife and held it over the shrink plastic and added heat to the pallet knife to shrink them and keep them flat at the same time?? It's a lot less work😂 I totally forgot you were doing an open collab I wanted to join in just so I could say I did a collab with you!! That would have been so much fun! I’ve only ever made things with shrink plastic in an oven or toaster oven. Always had fun with this stuff, and yeah, they were first marketed as shrinky - dinks when I was a kid. Oh and if you’re using an oven or toaster oven, trust the process and leave it closed till they have flattened back out. ❤❤❤

I've used regular nail polish top coat to seal. Also Spray can sealant. Baking in the oven results in fewer clump- ups. Not sure why, maybe partly because you can't easily try to prevent/ fix it. The set we had in the 70s used a jelly-like paint that was transparent. It was really pretty, like stained glass.
