Generally I like Parkside tools but availability is erratic. For example, I have a couple of Lidl airnailers / staplers but can't get the 'ammo' anywhere else; this means I have to stock up when they come in, which in my local Lidl is at intervals of about 18 months. I'm not impressed with their 'Ultimate Speed' range of automotive-related products.
Thinks buddy
What was the wire speed and power?
@magpiemaker560

hi Marco Martins, I had the wire speed set at No.4 and the power was between B and C setting on the dials. I was moving slowly from the left of the work-piece to the right with minimal circular movement keeping the pool fairly uniform. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment
Can you weld small, slotted tungsten beads (0.4- 1 mm diameter) to a fishing hook using this set up? Thanks

No this type of welder would be unsuitable for such a small item, you would need to consider a jewelers welder or micro laser welder with microscope LCD screen for that type of application

@@magpiemaker560 thanks for the reply. Currently I am soldering the pieces together, but the bond isn't strong enough. Actual size of tungsten beads is 3-4.5mm. Sorry for the incorrect info above.

@@nicholaszarb2504 Tungsten can take quite a bit of heat that's why they are used for TIG welding in which the welding conical arc is formed by a tungsten electrode. Have you thought about using a chemical bond? there are very strong epoxy metal to metal bonding agents you can get on the market which might work better

Hi, When you recorded yourself welding @ 06:27, how far away was the camera actually ? 🤔 Because if it is too close the light coming from the welding can fry/damage the camera sensor. You'd need a ND Filter I think. Thanks ! 😊 Best Regards,
Do you need gas

Thanks Gavin FreedomLover for the comment, flux core welding does leave a little slag the same as arc welding which should remove easily if you do it right. Mig,Tig or Mag welding tends to leave no slag because of the shielding gas
Just got one, and used it today. Spatter galore, can't get anything that looks like a bead irrespective of setting. I need to play with it more, hopefully it's just setting. I've mig welded in the past , worked well, but this is just so damned messy. I'm a bit disappointed right now!
