If they had it tight, all forces would go to the person's neck, which for sure would not be able to handle.

What my head does when I’m drunk in a taxi

i think it's still a big different between a driver and a passenger... in our normal driving conditions, if you corner too fast, your passengers also swing left and right but not the driver... first: the driver anticipate the turn/acceleration/braking, second: the driver have the steering to hold on to..

Please remember that the passenger doesn´t got the chance to grip a steering wheel( Wich would give him much more "body momentum suport") as a normal F1 Pilot, besides the safety belt could have been a little bit more tight as you can see it just goes up his shoulders. Regards Vid Funny anyway! ;)

I think they didn't strap him in so that they could show the effects of g force when youre actually driving the car. Still, if the person is not fit enough, that's very dangerous.

Every video of someone in the back is like this. Loose harness, no HANS device, and hilarious braking zones. I'm beginning to think the guys at Yas Marina are doing it on purpose and quite honestly, I don't care because I cry in laughter every single time.

Man, that was quite funny watching a grown man succumb to the sear force of a few g's. He looked like a baby trying to hold it's head up for the first time

It's like putting a size 5 foot in a size 10 shoe. Belts and helmet fit incorrectly, no HANS, seat with no side support. The guy might as well have been sitting on the wing.

I noticed its the abu dhabi track but is this sorta thing legal in other countries? Cause i remember an episode of top gear said Hammond neck wouldn't be able to take the g-force if he were to do anymore laps. So isnt this a bit dangerous for a normal person even if he/she is tightly strapped in?

well and if you add that that cockpit is larger than usual to fit bigger people, also add that that person seems pretty small built, that the seat is not molded, there is no hans device, that is not strapped on propperly and that that person probably doesnt work out not even to save his life... Yes it looks exagerated

@squirlybmx Not to mention when you're a passenger instead of a driver in ANY vehicle your brain has no time to prepare your body for the changes in directional force. The g-forces are exerted equally on the driver but he knows what his actions will be and when to flex what parts of his body to maintain form. Really stupid that anyone would want to pay for a ride like this.
