Hi yudi, firstly a big fan of you for the content you share on KZread. This time we are seeing a lot of technical questions being asked by VO's based on your majors. Like if you are heading to computer science and its alliance fields questions related to python, java are being asked. And if you are going to Ml, AI they are asking about RNN, NN, CNN. Which are crazy questions. Even people who are heading to their majors in civil and mechanical they are being asked their domain related questions rather than the generic questions like which university and why usa etc. This time VO's even cameup with the challenging questions 😅

I had my interview last week in Mumbai. Going for a PhD. I have a B1 visa. The officer scanned the barcode on my passport and said, Ohh, you have a B1. Did you visit New Haven? I told him I visited Louisiana to present a paper. Then, he asked me what the topic of my research was. And it was done. He said my visa had been approved.

I went to Mumbai for my interview, was asked just one question - Have you taken education loan? Interrupted halfway and sayed my visa is approved 🎉. I don't understand why Chennai and Hyderabad have so many tough questions and so many rejections...

All depends on your profile. If your university is very good they might just ask for finances, else they sometimes grill you

Hello . I have an interview in a few days. I'm accepted the language course from the American public university. I applied to only one university. If the officer asks, should I tell the truth or say, for example, that I applied to two universities and so on? Your comment ? And this is to say , do I want to study master's degree after the language course or not? please guide me . Thankful .

Even my friend went to Hyderabad consulate he was asked questions like what is random forest and how to extract data from a dataset using sql etc

Hello Yudi, wanted to know one thing Wanted to know one thing. A US state uni or a private uni ( excluding the ivies and other top uni like mit Stanford etc ) Which is better for international students and which has a better visa acceptance rate ? I saw this video where 21 Indians were deported at the port of entry. They were going to St. Louis uni, and many ppl in the comments recommended to apply for state uni. I couldn’t understand the reason.

Even my visa was same which was rejected. Officer asked me which courses I am taking. Why this particular course and what are you expecting in return.

I beleive this is important. In this way no. Of quality students going to US will remain constant & U.S will not turn into current Canada. Great Interview by officer and offcourse awesome candidate. Hats off

There is High rejections In Hyderabad by African lady Applicants who have Visa interview in Hyderabad try to avoid the African lady counter Ofcourse it's not possible that much because the security guard watch you and didn't allow to change but if you are in the counter just be confident and smile only ofcourse she will reject even though say thanks with a smile face And most of the people say it's not luck all you need to speak fluent in English bla bla bla ... Not at all guys it's completely luck based, depends on their mood and applicants list All the best just be confident guys ❤

How to answer regarding career gap

I had my F1 visa interview in May 2024(Mumbai) and though it was approved... the basic questions about funding and work experience were asked and then she said...okay since you're going for computer science, can you explain to me what is ChatGPT and how does it work. It was an unexpected question but I could answer it! Other guy on the next counter was asked about OOPs concepts.😂

Students should concentrate more on top ranking universities. Visa rejectoin mostly happens for not so well rank of University.

yep, these schools have a lot of political sway because they need to have international students in order to claim they are among the top tier in the world. They question Americans coming home more questions than international students at the airport.

Let me tell you, I'm studying here in the US and there are a lot of Students from Hyderabad. But when I see a few students, I really felt how these people cleared the Interview. I mean they are not even able to speak in English properly, forgot about fluency. So Honestly I feel that either there's a Luck factor, OR the Hyderabad Visa Consulate is randomly approving Visas OR If these people can do it, anyone can. 😄 Disclaimer: No offense to Hyderabadi people, just trying to figure out how Visa Consulate in Hyderabad is issuing visas. One side is the Interview of this guy in the video and the other side is the people whom I encountered with.

Even I have the same doubt as you bro. I am in a university which is flooded with people from Andra and telagana states. Being from Bangalore, where I frequently communicated in English. But here in Texas, I hear more of telugu than English. When I speak to my classmates about assignments or course work, majority of them struggle to even speak basic sentences. I feel I may forget my own English.

In Hyderabad consulate Counter no :37 How is health informatics help you in nutrition I said : as nutrition is a information sensitive field, health informatics will help in electronic health records... Officer said : This is the only answer I am listening from one year Rejected In just 2 seconds, I did not even have a chance to speak about it anymore! :( And have seen massive rejections from top universities like Arizona State, UMass Boston, IIT Chicago, university of Dayton He just asked a single question and rejected everyone. Felt like he was just asking for formalities.

i got rejected in kolkata. they just dont want to approve haryana and punjab students they only approve south people. also thier is a lady officier who just want a reason to reject visa she told me that she love my confidence but my study is not relevant to my previous studies. 😢 and also give her example that i have that subject in my 12th so it is relevant but she just want to reject because i from Haryana. I also saw so many students rejected just because they are from north side and the approval rate from Kolkata is alsooo very very less that day. i am just giving my experience which i get that day😢

Bhai agar ye questions puche, saare technical then it is a very good thing. Isme shock hone ki kya baat hai? In my interview (going for MS in AI at Northeastern directly after graduation and he asked why going there just after graduation), the indian guy asked me suddenly "You told me your undergrad covered basic AI topics, like what?" I told him "Decision tree, Naive Bayes, and not in depth topics like Computer Vision, Attention Unet" and then he interrupted me and said "Ok can you tell me what is K-Means clustering?" And i took a pause for 2 seconds and in my mind I was like "Yes, I got him now, now it is a cake walk" and I answered him in detail. Dude if you are getting shocked if the Visa interview asks technical questions related to your course and fumble or unable to answer, then maybe you don't deserve to get your Visa approve at that point, prepare well and apply again.!!
