I have been meaning to do more DIY 3d shibori experiments since the beginning of my channel but avoiding because it is so time consuming. This traditional 3d shibori pleating technique will not steal 2 days out of your agenda and is still effective to create textures in fabric easy. Main take aways: no bouncy elastan fabrics, just 100% polyester to be on the safe side, thin fabrics, no colored threads or yarns to wrap (or in the exact same color as the fabric) let dry completely before unwrapping and only cold washes to keep the texture.
DIY Traditional fabric manipulation ideas to pleat fabric at home do not have to be difficult, create textures in textiles with this beginner friendly fabric manipulation technique. This is one of the safer heat manipulation fabric techniques to do at home with a steamer and some basic diy sewing materials.     Hiii not sure if you heard of the 'wet look'? Something like dipesta dresses or zendaya wet-look balmain dress! Its quite fascinating at how the fabric looks 'wet' even though its dry!
