@@roberharpane3524 Yes, exactly. They wouldn't even try. That's why the tower gives you the wind direction and speed before you get there. So you can make that decision to go to your planned alternate airport. Every aircraft has a crosswind limit, and it depends on size, weight and wing configuration. Actually, it has been achieved in high crosswinds. The pilot, flying in a STOL aircraft, landed "across" the runway which was 100 feet wide. The difficult part of the landing was the task of trying to keep the aircraft from wanting to lift off of the ground again because of the extreme velocity of the wind. Fun times!

The space shuttle didn't get a boost to space on a 747. That's how they transported it to the takeoff site. To get it into space, they strapped it to a couple much larger rocket boosters and one MUCH MUCH larger booster. The F-22 Raptor isn't named after a dinosaur. "Raptor" means "bird of prey," like an eagle or a falcon. (And also, the Velociraptor from Jurassic Park was based on an actual dinosaur named Deinonychus, whereas the actual dinosaur named Velociraptor was much smaller -- about the size of a turkey. Understandably, the author chose to combine the fearsome dinosaur with the awesome name. The movies carried on that decision from the book.)
@philcarr70153 ай бұрын
747's are not used to help the Space Shuttle take off. They're only used to transport the Shuttle in Earth's atmosphere from one location to another. And yeah, the music is annoying!

Years ago at ILA Berlin I had the opportunity to peer into the opened cargo bay of a Beluga - they had set up a temporary bridge over its cockpit so you would stand in its gaping frontal gate. It reminded me of cartoons where protagonists get swallowed by a whale, absolutly titanic dimensions, difficult to believe it could actually fly in this moment.

The Norwegian Lancer landing was cool, but having worked in the Artic watching a 737 landing in the snow on a dirt runway is even wilder. As for the weather, I've sat waiting for a flight to land in a blizzard. Despite being only a few 100' of a runway and hearing a plane coming in, but completely invisible is pretty wild, although not too exciting to video. Pilots and planes are much more capable than the conditions they usually fly in. Once I realized that most planes are basical air trucks, and pilots professionals, I stopped being a nervous flyer.

At 1:45, "training for the Belgium airforce", reminded me of the time I worked at the Portland Naval Base, Dorset, UK back in the 70's. This Royal Navy base is situated on Portland Bill which is connected to the mainland through a very long shingles beach, Chesil Beach. Driving to work along the beach, if the weather was bad, you could guarantee that the air sea rescue helicopters would be out. They would fly around the bay dropping a diver into the choppy and tempestuous sea. They would circle around and pick the poor guy up, only to throw him back in and repeat the process all morning! No disrespect to the Belgium air force guys (I'm sure they have to do a lot worse than you show!) your video clip looks like a fairground ride to what the poor matelots I used to watch had to go through! 🥶

Fun times!
“This is LA’s tactical unit landing at a shooting an intimidating sight for any criminal” yeah right because out there they get arrested then set free.
Relatively small helicopter, champ? Think again.
Great shots. Shame about the narration!
That Ryanair joke. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Nice video dude 🎉
You give Ryan air crap, but that dude made an amazing landing in that wind. Probably saved hundreds of lives.
RIP Antonov 😂
No pilot will ever attempt to land in a 75 MPH crosswind
No plane would plane would even attempt to land with a 75mph crosswind.
There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots.
Commentary is redundant and annoying

Those magnificent men in their flying machines..
0:53 I will admit that Ryan Air deserves its fair share of criticism. Perhaps expanding upon that while showing a ridiculously skillful landing, in horrendous crosswind conditions by obviously adept pilots isn't the most opportune time to do so.
I wanted something different to watch before bed and found myself mesmorized by this video. Not sure why, as some of these flights look really sketchy! LOL
Fantastic vid

6:07 "Call Sign Angel Flight" you may want to look up some of these things there sport.
Gotta be honest, a lot of these moves could cost way more of they went wrong! 😲
"Is that a missile...no, it's one of OUR planes. Lightning fast!" "Can that small helicopter lift that plane? Wow!.. but I'd rather not say what country's chopper that is".
Okay, I took a private tour on a Standard Oil Tanker when I lived in Anchorage Alaska, and the Captain corrected me when I accidentally referred to his ship as a "boat" and said that reference could get me thrown overboard!
It was too cool.
I love flying s-turns and turns around a point.
Your daily dose of irony: 6:15 Perhaps the distinction of "...quickest flight in history" offsets the fact that this is a rescue helicopter, or at the least an emergency response craft. 😆
Flying? Watch Bob Hoover flies the shrike👍
Nice party entertainment
Tthat "wise man" was none other than Douglas Adams!
"An intimidating sight and sound for any criminal" Too bad we can't bloody hear it because of the music 🤦♂
02:05 That "relativly small helicopter" is just the second largest helicopter (Mil Mi 26) ever constructed right after the Mil V-12. There are videos around where you can see a Mi-24 Hind rolling onto the taxiway followed by this behemoth, it makes the Mi-24 look small.

You should rename this, "A bunch of stolen videos from others years ago then reposted as if they are my own."
Thank you so much for this intoxicating compilation of incredible footage ! The perfect antidote for feelings of anger and frustration, engendered by so many political postings on social media. And no, the Shuttle wasn't literally helped into space by a converted 747... 👽🌟🌈
Most people seem to forget, but a HUGE part of the Eisenhower Interstate Highway Act is the requirement that every so often the Freeway MUST be perfectly straight and free from overpasses, so that it can be used as an emergency runway!!!
: Douglas Adams, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
The Norwegian Lancer landing was cool, but having worked in the Artic watching a 737 landing in the snow on a dirt runway is even wilder. As for the weather, I've sat waiting for a flight to land in a blizzard. Despite being only a few 100' of a runway and hearing a plane coming in, but completely invisible is pretty wild, although not too exciting to video. Pilots and planes are much more capable than the conditions they usually fly in. Once I realized that most planes are basical air trucks, and pilots professionals, I stopped being a nervous flyer.
(7:50) tyre be like: i dont wanna be locked up
Had a plane land on me playing golf. Was on a par 5 mid way and it hit 100 ft behind me and hopped over hitting the green and flipping.
I'm glad there are people who can trust man-made things enough to fly, but that's not me. I've seen too many failures.
Great, imaginary commentary!
I'd love to go to a Blue Angels airshow.
Oh!look at the pretty flames
That "relatively small" helicopter is actually pretty large for a helicopter, lol. This video is like TV clip shows where nobody knows what they're talking about, lol.
Ryanair has a very good safety record
The videos are cool, but sometimes, when it comes to narration, less is better.
Cool add a griffin
The first thing with the blue angles was one of there formations and an actual thing they do for airshows, it wasn't them showing off. this was a good video tho
10:10 - It is a Rockwell Lancer B-1 of the USAF - the ONLY operator of the type. It is not a "B1 B" bomber, and it is NOT in service with the ROYAL Norwegian Air Force, which does boast an impressive fleet including the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.

Ryanair are many things, but the pilots are some of the best in the business.
Oh God, the GTA music you used when the plane landed on the highway was pretty freakin' hilarious!

So, having some experience with Helicopters, thank you Army, I know that they generate massive amounts of static electricity. Which is why they must be grounded before you can sling load anything from them. Knowing that... the guy repairing an electrical line from a heli is literally asking for a lightning bolt size static discharge to fry him.
The stuff shown in this video is all pretty cool, but the whole thing is ruined by the loud crappy music and the inaccurate "facts." I mean, geez, turn it down, and do a tiny bit of research.
