Justin, it's clear to me that you are a good sport, regardless of your teasing. You are good natured enough to go out of your way to fish with a friend where he has a home-court advantage so powerful that the fish are not just eating out of his hand but climbing into his hand. Justin you may not think this BUT this is one of your BEST VIDEOS!! Just watched again with my Grandson who does get upset if his friend is catching more fish than him. This video shows GREAT Sportsmanship and how you should act, It was a GREAT Teaching video for my Grandson and I THANK YOU!!

Bro, I broke down and went to my neighbors pond with the 1” gulp smelt and tore them up pretty good. Enough to the point where I hooked a small bluegill and a dang large jaw took him for a snack. Broke my dang pole trying to pull the thing up this ledge I was fishing on. All I could say was, Ya old fish. I ain’t even mad but went through every gulp I had. I even tried to throw a 3” but all they wanted was that smaller profile this evening.

Justin, I wish you had borrowed some bait from Daniel just to see if this was the difference. The only other thing I could imagine is that, since fish have such a good sense of smell, maybe your bait was tainted by something like sunscreen, bug spray, hand cleaner, something you cleaned your bucket with, etc. Normally, you do really well on that reservoir.

Hey buddy Josh Hart my home waters is around High Rock lake.. I was wondering. Have you ever traveled down to The Tar heel state (North Carolina). If not have you ever heard of the Catfishing in High Rock, Tuckertown,Tilery, Badin, This are smaller lakes full of Trophy size catfish . these lakes are known for producing 40 to 80 pounders. These lakes are always getting looked over because of its brother lakes .. Lake Norman, wily,Gaston,kerr,. Do you ever see your self coming this way.

Hey Justin! Question for ya, what kind of mount are you using for your rod holders? I know you preach about having them set up securely, so I’m curious what you use. Planning on taking a break from bass fishing and seeking out some cats and I live in a land of 40+ lbers.

I made a diy mount to secure them to my kayak with bolts. Check out my kayak walkthrough video from a couple years ago. I went into detail about them there.

We usually have enough current to prevent a thermocline
