I make this without the soup mix and use canned French onion . My daughter has a gall bladder issue and corn will bring her to her knees and it’s in most packets of anything! So if you have this problem, that’s an easy substitute. This is a go to recipe!

We made your crockpot pork chop recipe tonight. It was wonderful! We followed the recipe easily, but used 12 pork chops. We doubled the recipe as far as the wet ingredients and had loads of gravy for our mashed potatoes and chops. Most tender, melt in your mouth pork chops, ever! Gold star ⭐. Going on the family rotation menu for sure. Six hours on low in crockpot...perfect! Thank you.❤️ Thank you!

I just want to say I absolutely love your videos! Everything about them is so comforting from your voice and the way you describe the recipes to the types of food you make and the great little shortcuts or the extra little tweaks you make to recipes and the way you mention maybe what was supposed to be in a recipe but you didn't have it so you just substituted something else. I lost my mother 2 years ago after many years of battling with infections and complications from being a paraplegic after a car accident she was in when I was 15 so we never got that special time when moms teach their daughters stuff like cooking. Watching you warms my heart and makes me think that maybe that's what it would have been like to learn from her so God bless you and thank you for sharing your time and recipes with us. I know it may seem like a simple thing to some but sometimes that's all it takes to really make a difference to someone. So thank you again for your warmth and kindness in sharing a little bit of love with every meal❤

Time can ease and comfort us, but mommas are just so special. And that being said, your comment touched me so much it's hard to put into words. My Daughter has Lyme disease so she can't have any of the packaged soup mixes, gravy etc: How would it taste without all those.

I made the smothered pork chop recipe today. I added whole carrots to the crockpot just for fun. The pork chops were amazing! I have never had chops that were so tender. 3:41 after sprinkling garlic powder on pork chops, dredge them in a bit of salt & peppered flour....then, brown the pork chops before putting them in the crock pot, they will taste even better!

Hello Mel. Lady, you never let us down. Looks like every recipe is a keeper. Would try them all. I think replacing the ground beef for breakfast sausage in the Tex-Mex recipe and making scramble eggs on the side would make awesome breakfast burritos. Could zip-lock freeze extra in the freezer for a quick breakfast. Thanks so much for sharing. Been thinking about starting a Momma Mel Cookbook for the kitchen. I just stumbled across your channel, and wanted to mention with your first recipe, we just tried those exact mashed potatoe pkgs for the very first time and liked them very much, never thought to add milk or heavy cream so thank you for that tip! I’ve been using cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix for my beef roast and I learned how to cook it years ago lol and I’m still cooking like that today

That really looks good. I love those packages of mashed potatoes. I never have time to go from scratch.

Like your recipes! I do similar ones but with cream of mushroom soup and without the lipton. I'll have to try it. I also add mushrooms, celery and green beans right in the pot.

The French onion chicken and Tex-Mex hashbrown hamburger casserole both also looked like delicious recipes. I'm going to try all three of these! I love your channel I love all of your recipes thank you!!👌

We cooked the pork chops at work for lunch. These were awesome. We had about 8 of the center cut boneless chops, we used 1 onion soup mix, 2 pork gravys, 3 cups of low sod chicken broth, 1 low sod cream of chicken soup, and about a cup of kroger miropoix frozen onion bell pepper and celery. And some crawcain season all (cajun seasoning) this is gonna be a repeat meal for us. We served with some peas and carrots, instant potatoes and green beans.....mmmmmm

did the smotherd pork chops but substituted the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup and used a mushroom gravy packet served it with some steamed white rice it was amazing.

I like crockpot meals when I take food to the neighbors or friends when they have had surgery or were sick. If you bring dinner in the crockpot it retains the heat well and you can plug it back in if you need to reheat it. Then I bring some containers and after they eat, I parcel out the rest in meal size portions and freeze or put them in their fridge. I wash up the dishes and the crockpot and take it home.

Omgoodness I made the pork chops for dinner today & they are to die for!
