Unable to update Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset

In this video, you can see the that it is not possible to update the firmware or change any of the settings on a Plantronics bluetooth headset due to the website and the "MyHeadsetUpdater" app not working. The download does not work in Firefox or Chrome, Windows 7 or 8.1 but the download will run if using Internet Explorer, but only after enabling "unsafe content" - I'm then able to install the program, but doesn't let me move forward with updating the firmware or changing any of the settings. I had opened a ticket with Plantronics about this and I am sending this video as proof that what they are telling to do is not working. UPDATE: it appears they fixed the issue and its working now.
Despite these problems I still recommend this headset. I've bought two for myself. (After 6 years the battery has reduced to only an hour or two of talk time.) and I've also given some as gifts. Here is where you can buy it! amzn.to/2UDrdto

    I've had the same problem since purchasing my Legend a year ago. Have you had any resolution?

    I was running into similar trouble switching the headset language under OS X. The links about installing the Edge updater were on the right track. After installing that app, I was then able to use the Legend Headset Updater (not "MyHeadset Updater") to switch the language.

    I had all of the same problems as in the video (thank you OP by the way). I temporarily disabled my Norton Security and did not have a problem downloading the updater or using the program for my Voyager Legend. Just as soon as I had completed my task, I re-enabled Norton Security. If it worked for me it may work for you. Good Luck

    I've just had the same problem. turned out it would'nt update because it was paired over bluetooth with the computer i was updating it from. hope this helps.

    Is there an alternate download site. I have no luck downloading this software. Even Internet Explorer didn't work

    Mine is telling me to restart the pc. when i restar, its not showing up

    If you're still having issues with updating the firmware, make sure you have the headset directly connected to the USB cable and not sitting in the docking station.

    Hi sdschramm, Thank you for this instructive video. Nice of you. I tried to install Headset Updater and called Plantronics who told me I had to use Google Chrome... Otherwise will not work... My friend (owner of the headset) advised me to STOP this fool movement with Plantronics false saying you can use Mac... (but Plantronics tech told me Mac is NOT working !) SO my friend said he will return product to apple store... Shit !

    On windows 10 i got my firware update to work by shutting down Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wirless (Bluetooth adapter) under USB in device manager. Hope its helps somebody else.

    Nice video. Similar frustration experience here. I downloaded the "myupdater" on my mac. It does download. However, when I start the program it asks me to plug in the device via USB. After doing that, nothing happens. I tried several different USB cables and tried turning it On and Off but nothing. I do have a Voyager Pro and a Voyager Pro HD. Both same result. If you haven't tried it yet, you might give the "Plantronics Hub" a try. (www.plantronics.com/us/product/plantronics-hub-desktop/) It installed but didn't recognize my Voyager Pro either. Perhaps it works for your Edge. Good luck.

    Plantronics Legend, same problem here. They just blame the customer & live off the plantronics name. Tried 3 different headsets, I feel lucky I got a refund.

    +Frank Ezequiel Ramirez really? your link is the same one he showed so many times. I watched the video hoping it would work. I've had the same problem for about a year.

    It's simple solution for update this shit. You have to change blutooth driver in device manager to generic one.
