I like that the fact Marvel vs. Capcom is not a love letter to the MCU, But it always meant a love letter to the actual comic readers. I don't read the Marvel comics, but I can definitely see lots of aspects taken more there to create this crossover.

Yea and I know tabs is cleaning up more characters.

I was not prepared for them to have 3D modeled the rest of the Commando Team for Captain Commando's super

For be a mod, these fighters are made with great love. And it's not only a skin character with existing model and texture, it's a character made from 0. Much effort for a quality mod 😮.

Yeah. No. That's exactly what some of these were at the start and what some of them still are. Its glaringly obvious which ones are further along than the others.

Can definitely tell the difference in these mods between 'when talent and passion come together' versus 'character idea + existing assets but worse'

You described my biggest problem with dark souls 3 mods that "promise a whole new game!"

I'm so happy the modders are going hard at work with all these characters. My wishlist for newcomers has to be Axl, Omega Red, Jin Saotome, classic Mega Man and Blackheart

Jin was talked about and I believe someone was trying to use galatus’s for his super and Arthur’s armor explosion but I never seen anything besides talking. Black heart would also be cool.

Omega red, blackheart and axl are gonna be really tough, the first 2 because of the complexity of their animations and axl simply because there arent enought child character slots for his transformations

The real funny thing about making these type of vids is that ur gonna have to make another one later on considering how much changes these characters receive. Ik Shadow lady has a new super and Rashid having new anims as well as some changes to his DP super. Can’t wait for the next one

PCs are amazing investments. You buy the once and upgrade them over time. Never have to pay for online. Accessories never become obsolete. You actually save money. Just need that first buy in.

I’m like 90 percent sure I missed a few. There’s no real movesets written. And there’s been so many updates the move list that do exist some are outdated.

Rashid has always been my favorite Street Fighter Character so seeing him in a versus game would be awesome.

id personally prefer to just see a "capcom vs" with deep pulls from their side of characters than have them ever try to navigate disney's bs again with this series

I'm just here waiting for CE to be complete or to be available for download. I don't want to mess up downloading 2 different pallete swap files into the game(lost the alt costumes when i thought i got both Cali and Tabs' files working lol). Can't wait. This is so sick and clean

Just go to the UMVC 3 EX discord and head to the download-community-mods tab and you can get the most updated version that is used for tournaments play. It’s one download that has all the characters. Except urien and moon knight.

How good the voices are really blow my mind.

Very nice, and very clean. Still need some balance, specially for 'The Thing', 'Strange' and 'Thanos'.

There was this old website called Capcom vs the World, where people could submit movesets for any character they wanted. This feels like the realization of those dreams.

The Best fighting games 3v3, Made ever!!

I had a concept for Krauser as a character in TvC where he would work as a zoner until he uses his Level 3 and pulls out his blade arm to become an extremely agile rushdown character but he can't gain recoverable health (meaning he can't heal and he can't use Baroque).

The blade here sort of works like that. Only certain moves make the blade disappear but they are really powerful attacks. Basically confirm into it and cash out with damage

Cool! Through I’d love if there were more Capcom characters that weren’t just “fighting game character”, like the base roster has Amaterasu and Phoenix wright. Given how many tools there are, might take a stab at it myself

Til umvc3 has an active modding community that’s put out dozens of characters that are official dlc levels of quality

So sf4 animations can be ported to umvc3, awesome!!!

I also would love to see the assists these characters have. I watched a combo where you used Cyclops's OTG assist and I was wondering it always bounce that high, did it have fixed hitstun and so on.

I believe both of cyclops beam supers have set hitstun. At least forward beam assist has it. He is my go to assist when I find a combo in which I max out my hitstun and any touch makes the opponent pop out.

Nice to see a ton of characters have been cleaned up a lot. Just a few concerns being Guile needing a better model, Charlie's Flash Kicks could use Shadow from Street Fighter V as a template, and X definitely needs more of his kit from MVCI, with maybe a few more adjustments. Note that this is not a request, just some observations.

I think you missed one of Talbain's supers, he should have his moment slice super (the super move were he impales the opponent with his claws and then slice them upwards) from Vampire Savior (it's a raging demon esque input in the original) I remember seing it in one of his mod previews so think it should be there.

Hmm? It definitely is there, its Quarter circle forward and two buttons. Its basically coppied from Akuma's Messatsu Goshoryu. Theres few supers here and there missing from the video.

It's sad how licencing, time constrains and mostly budget can totally overshadow the potential of a great game. A'm glad that modders and the community do what the OG developers couldn't

People really be making this the definitive MvC game bruh, no wonder this franchise is truly beloved by its community! I kinda wish some characters from the other games to be included like Winter Solider, Omega Red, Blackheart, Sabretooth, Hayato, Sonson or MSH/MvC2 Thanos, I feel they have a big potential to fit just fine with the other modded characters ^^ (not a request tho, I know mods take a huge ass effort). Btw, I remember seeing mods for Urien and Moon Knight, they were at some point available but they completely dissapeared a few months since their release, I wonder what happened to them¿?

@@NMPziirr oh u right, I also remembered DMC5 Vergil has ridiculous damage scaling so he has to get multiple hits to kill, big difference with Moon Knight, he could combo his supers and Urien could pretty much fill the screen with reflectors so now I understand haha

So palette swap what we called the characters created by Tabs and the we had calikingz mods and emc mods and treewiz creating more mods so instead of having multiple downloads they just created Community Edit (CE) where it’s one download with all the characters so far and updated version to try to keep them balanced.

But if you want to make double sure you can go to the UMVC 3 EX discord and go to the Download-community-mods tab. it’s also there and every time there’s an update that’s where it gets posted. Also note that he streams early/unreleased characters so be sure to know if the character is released before thinking you don’t have the latest version.
