Take this kind of stuff and layer it into other samples. A good portion of the time you can gst really full sounding drums when you layer weird sounds ontop of eachother

i use valhalla supermassive, put it on the drum track and put it on lyra mode, then just fuck around with the knobs til something cool comes out

I've been looking for this video for a couple years

karplus strong synthesis is another good technique for these sounds, as well as FM synthesis.

exactly. using comb filters with this technique is loads of fun.

@@garthvader4269 remember, comb filters are actually identical to delays, thy just usually allow you to set much shorter, often pitched delay times.

@@XxMadermanxX comb filter is a "tuned delay": the filter frequency / spacing of the peaks/throughs in the spectrum is the delay time and resonance is the feedback.
