Saw the movie when first released in Hyderabad along with my wife. We liked it so much so that we went and saw couple of more times and on the way back stopped at a records shop and picked up the LP, played it everyday on my Stereo. After moving to USA, came to know that a huge rain flooded my house and destroyed all my collection. After coming here bought a CD and VD of the movie. The CD is always in the car and switch it the moment get into it. Played the DVD many times. Every thing about the movie is an excellent event in my life. Thank you everyone who made this movie an immortal one.

Fully agree with you. My favourite music dirwctor are khayyamji and Ravi of film humraj fame. No one can compete with khayyamji in classical music and the way he uses sarangi in almost all of his songs. I have much respect for him.

UMRAON JAAN was a Better Film as compared to the comparable PAKEEZA on all counts of solo acting performance and sets and music and overall ambiance and elegance of the sets - Lyrics and music was Equally Good and fitted well into the movie theme and great music This Sets of the movie and the solo performance of REKHA is her Best all time career solo performance and she was made for this particular role and no other actress could have done even 10 percent of the performance she did in the movie
