On the uncensored versions (European/Japanese) on the cutscene after stage 5, Lammy slips on a banana peel, dies, then goes to hell, gets resurrected by the fax machine. (the cutscene is almost nothing like the censored version that's here) there's videos that show the original cutscene.

This game is one of the trippiest things I’ve ever seen.

Is anyone going to talk about how Chop Chop Master Onion literally predicted Lammy’s future? Like at 3:55, he says “You have many challenges comin at ya, first is a fire, don’t retire, now” and her first song is about her putting out a fire, 4:20 predicts her playing a song for a baby, 4:24 predicts how she co-pilots the plane, 5:16 talks about her playing a song on the island near the end of the game, and at 5:18, he says “Chop, that wood” which predicts her chopping down wood to make a new guitar.

This whole game feels like one big fever dream and I love it

I never saw the uncensored version of Lammy getting to the underworld but that "back in time" effect of the censored version really creeped me out when it was actually made for the easily scared kids

When I was a kid, I always wanted them to make two other games to show what happened to Katy and Ma-san on the way to the show. There's obviously a story there. ;(

Kendal Chicarelli The original quote was “Choppin’ down trees, just for the fun.” It’s not the only thing that got censored, either- the entirety of stage 6 was as well. Go check out some videos on it!

It's amazing how much you can animate these flat characters without them looking too weird. (Edit: besides the fact that this game is incredibly weird...)

I like that the bullies in the intro cutscene have the same dialogue as in Parappa

Technically, it starts at 6:45, and that isn’t even counting load times and the title intermissions Edit: the combined length of the SONGS (excluding first and last ones because they don’t add to the time limit) is approximately 13:48, so the game actually isn’t too far off

Y'know, ignoring the obvious weirdness in the game for a moment, Lammy's social anxiety throughout the game hits WAAAY too close to home for me. Especially that answering machine recording she has, like holy crap, stop sounding like me.
