I play a gimmick control umi/Ice barrier deck and it is lots of fun.

Additionally, Mega Fortress Whale "battle effects" become relevant for OTK and for protecting your Kairyu Shin or your Jelly.

And it can float into general raiho of ice barrier which has a good floodgate effect especially combo heavy one

Eh, yes its good for the deck but most of the duels i do with Umi Control i barely even manage to use it regardless of winning or losing. A good card for the deck but most of the time dont see much play.

People really underestimate this deck. It got me from plat I to diamond III. All it takes is practice this deck is very strong especially going first. Swordsoul and depia is hopeless against it when they go second

Dude, that fact that it searches Gamaciel and Jellyfish is Normal makes me want to build this for fun.

I'm looking back at this video and realized the opponent played circle in the imperm column and duel logs still negated it.

I've actually been using this deck for the last 2 weeks. I love using it. It drives my brother nuts because it really messes his dragon maid combos up

I love hearing him say "That's cheating" in his unemotional voice 🤟

There are 3 Water/Normal/Tuner monsters I’ll be experimenting with because I can’t not Synchro into an even bigger Fish

I've had an idea for a rage of the deep sea deck where u discard your deck full of fish, aqua and sea serpent cards then normal summon rage of deep sea using legendary ocean to make it 4 stars. It's a gimmick I used to use in my atlantean fish deck I think it would be cool although it's also just worse green maju

we need a no hand trap event. id love to see what cursed deck duellogs would use.

You couldn't relied them as your answer because sea stealth attack just protect the entire backrow and it's the umi control priority card if they use kairyu shin search Though a single imperm on ruined the entire strat of the deck

Umi control was pretty good.

I’m planning to go to my first TCG Locals event next month and I’m going to try to use an Umi deck for it. It’s not perfect, since I got Sharks and Marincesses in it too, but I think it might surprise some people

Umi control is definitely more of a "rogue" strategy than a gimmick, even if it might not be as viable in the tcg as it once was

@@roninzero12 Have you played the deck? Striker is like, the easiest match up this deck has. I've won I think literally every match I've played against it. You just Jelly negate one spell card, and tag out with Deep Sea Attack or Kraken if they threaten with anchor or afterburners. Kraken especially just shits on the deck since you can literally just blank their battle phase with it while forcing them to cycle links. Then you just slap Mega Fortress and laugh for game.

@@AnUnimaginativeName1 Easiest 😆 You're talking about a deck that goes second with searchable backrow and monster negation/removal with tons of handtraps, Umi control always ate an Ash, Gamma, a Veiler or an Impermanence. They also run staples like Droplet, Pankratops or Cosmic Cyclone. It's not difficult to break the board.

No, I mean I thought it was discontinued because based on the latest video uploaded many high level pokemons are 'dead', so I'm guessing maybe leveling up another pokemons were deemed too grindy, and the nuzlocke stopped..... (I'm not watching any of his lifestreams, sorry...)

Between how massively more supported and revolved around _Umi_ is compared to other field spell cards, indeed even compared to most other single, and the long-standing weakness of Pyro monsters, I think it would be a fun idea to make an Anti-Umi of sorts… A FIRE focused version. _Empire Of The Searing World_ Field Spell Card _All FIRE and Pyro monsters gain 200 ATK/DEF. You can normal summon level 5 and higher FIRE and Pyro monsters with one less tribute, but if you do they cannot attack and their effects are negated the turn they are summoned. Once per turn, When this card is activated: You can place 1 FIRE or Pyro monster from your Deck on top of your Deck. At the beginning of your turn you can increase or decrease the level of all FIRE and Pyro monsters on the field and in your hand by 1 until the end of your turn. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can have all FIRE and Pyro monsters you currently control gain or lose Levels equal to the number of FIRE and Pyro monsters you currently control, until the end of this turn._ THERE, a one stop shop for FIRE and Pyro monster needs, with most of its effects deliberately cannibalised and modified from Umi and its retrains, and with its one personally unique effect playing nicely with them. _Empire Of The Searing World_ as is wouldn’t have a fraction of the support _Umi_ variants have accumulated over the years, so it makes up by being a bit more powerful in itself. Also I specified Pyro separately from FIRE because while the _majority_ of Pyro monsters ARE FIRE, there are enough that _aren’t_ that I’d be forgetful not to accommodate that.

I had one really close game against it and we were both down to the wire and my opponent had a single kairyushin to floodgate me. I used my duster to wipe out all his backrow and he used sea stealth to banish his kairyushin to protect everything. Then I normal summoned maxx c and attack for game. Control deck can be frustrating to go against but I’ll take this over floodgate stun eldlich any days

Nah, new timer should give you more time during your opponents turn after your turn is over. Instead of only giving you 60 more seconds at the beginning of your turn. It should do it for both players turns.

Alr so after searching for answers online it's clear to me that you're either hacking or showing a completely false deck profile compared to the actual deck you're using and i'm leaning more towards the idea that you're just straight up cheating...

It's this kind of piece of shit playstyle that makes me main evenly matched in md
