Umek is such a fucking legend. Expert producer, competent DJ, great human being. As a guy whose been a bedroom DJ for 20 years, Umek is probably in the top 3 producers I've played overall across the years. Just absolute bangers, adjusting with the times, never stagnating. Massive props, saw you at Digital Dreams in Toronto back in 2016 and back then I wasnt a techno dude yet so I didnt realize the privilege of seeing you live - cant wait for next time

He was one of two guys that opened my eyes mind n heart to techno. Have u heard his other alias? Zeta Reticula ? Techno influenced Electro. Actually on a label called elektrix -Zeta Reticula EP 2. Has 2 electro bangers n 2 minimal techno tracks. That’s what opened the door to techno for me. And the best dj I’ve ever seen in my life from Miami,dj Stryke. Fader n eq tricks n cuts,n I’ve never seen someone use the fx on pioneer mixer like that ! What were u into before techno ?
