It's actually a donghua (chinese animation :) ) And, it's actually a book. Two books in fact. :D These books are one of the most well known BL books out there. I'd say, most of the modern masterpieces of books today for this genre (in general) come from China. Honestly speaking, reading the books right after watching one episode of each donghua is a good way to get into them :) Mo Dao Zu Shi (The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) - wangxian - Lan Wangji x Wei Wuxian Tian Guan Ci Fu (Heavenly Official's Blessing) - hualian - Hua Cheng x Xie Lian
