@@ReachingWisdom cool, I didnt buy a gen 3 because I prefer the "replicas' Umarex did a great job with these glocks, I'd bet glock had a say in the tolerances because the one I have doesnt even rattle with the mag out and with fixed sights its 'soda can plinking' accurate out to 35ft. I love it.

Got one a few months back definitely fun to have and shoot, my brother has a real 17 gen 3 and the comparison between the two is insane. Umarex did great with this air gun 9/10 for sure

Thanks for sharing! Love my Umarex G17 gen 3 and am looking forward to the 4. Did have a recent issue with the magazine for the 3 where the metal at the top came separate some and now won't slide so I ordered a new mag. I like the design of the 4s mag better and the full blow back and crazy attention to detail so can't wait to get one. Subscribed. Thanks again.

That's sweet! Thanks! I'm buying a BB pistol tonight for all the exact reasons you just mentioned. Muscle memory, getting my wife into shooting etc. Plus, right now, ammo is hard to find. (for real guns.) I just ordered some .40 Smith And Wesson ammo tonight, and man.....it's like GOLD!! I just want to have a cheap way to get used to sight acquisition, getting on target, and hitting with speed and accuracy. All the fundamentals are the exact same when shooting a BB pistol, vs a real pistol. I'm looking for the best one to buy, and this one just got into my top 5. It's stunning how real it looks! I do want one with the blowback I think, just because I think it will help with feel of shooting a real gun......I understand it's still not the same, but, I think it's better than not having it. At least you'll still have to get back on target somewhat!

Hey I know this comment is alil old but if you're looking for another Interesting gun to add to your top five list in regards to all those reasons {if you haven't already} try getting with the "P365", in my opinion it's great for practice too for I am using a BB pistol for aim & shooting perfection/sharpshooter training as well!

If it's cold where you are, keep the CO2 warm before you use it.

Co2 will always beat green gas not only in terms of power but constant performance unlike green gas which sometimes works well and sometimes doesn't.

Nice review thanks! A few things I wish Umarex (actually manufactured by KWC for Umarex) had done. First, I wish the CO2 cartridge could be touched with your hands (magazine opened on both sides) in between magazine reloading to warm up the CO2 cartridge faster. The magazine is sealed once the CO2 is in there. Second, I wish the slide catch would catch the slide fully back, and not 3/4 of the way back on the last BB. Don't know why the notch in the slide is so long? And third, on mine the black finish on the ejection port cover is getting scratched by the slide movements because of too much play of the barrel inside the slide. Otherwise, a very enjoyable airgun to shoot, very accurate and reasonably powerful (for a blowback). I own several replica airguns in my collection and this one is one of the most authentic-looking and great fun to shoot with.

I have a question for you after hearing you have several replicas, I'm on a 300 dollar budget to get c02 blowback bb gun, I'm looking into either the Glock 17 gen 4, for 149$ canadian plus tax and shipping, the glock 18 or the GLOCK G18C GEN 3, my intent on buying this is to get into bb gun shooting I'm 18 and I'm looking for a hobby to pick up down here and canada, I wanna make sure my purschuse is gonna be a good one, anything u could suggest to me?

Hello and thanks for your comment/question. Despite its few shortcomings, the Glock 17 Gen 4 blowback BB airgun would be my choice if you like Glocks. It’s a great way to get into the BB airgun hobby! The blowback action is a lot of fun.

I recently got one. The replica quality is astonishing. Mine shot ridiculously low even at short range from a rest. Non-adjustable sights - what’s a mother to do? I siliconed a short (2.25”) cheap Chinese pic rail to the top of the slide, attached a cheap Chinese reflex sight to it, zeroed it in, and started shooting really nice groups even though I am a lousy shot. Target acquisition with both eyes open is about 100 times easier and faster with a green dot than with the replica Glock iron sights, and I am gaining confidence that I will pretty soon be able to double tap whatever I intend to hit from 5-7 yards. Just stick the dot on it and jerk the trigger. With the reflex sight set up this thing has become an amazing training tool. Can’t say enough good things about it.

Awesome. The one thing bad about BB and Airsoft BB guns is they don't have a rifled barrel so they sometimes aren't crazy accurate.

Here where i live (Europe) it is nearly imposible to get a real gun...but it is safe countrie and we don't realy need them lol... Just bought my first bb gun....and it is fun AF 🤩

@5:13 Instead of pressing that small button, keep the mag upside down, there is a small pin on the spring just under the cap, pull the pin downword and the small button will follow, to release the cap. Allot easier and no tools required. Hope you understand what i mean ;)

Instead of using a knife to poke the button, try flipping the mag upside down and pulling the spring down as if you were loading the mag. It’ll pull the button down so you can load the co2 in.

Nice vid man! I wish Umarex will launch G19 gen4 version with blowback action and full mag like this one. I have the gen3. Power and accuracy is there but no blowback and stick magazine is not appealing to me.

The umarex Glock 17 magazine is the same dimensions a the real Glock 17 magazine? Fit inside for training reload?

My mag drops per shot and if I put my finger under the mag the co2 blows, anything I can do to fix it?

That particular Glock is nice but too much fumbling with loading CO2, I like SIG and Winchester lever design of loading. I only have Glock 19 NBB and I love it,accurate AF zero complaints..Anyway it’s up to you, I like to shoot but not real steel if you understand,so having a Air Rifle or Pistol is how you calm down, and it’s almost like meditation.. I love it.. I don’t play Golf but love shooting…

just purchased the 17 gen 3, but the slide has a little wobble on it which creates a really annoying noise, anyone know how to tighten the slide to the frame?

Well, you scam a lot, like every citizen is a Windows support employee, you have soooo much money.

Just got one and I love it, the polis say i cant have a real one (not that that would ever stop me) but itnscratches the itch because its such a faithful replica. Though I get 1½ mags/CO2 capsule but from what I've heard that's not normal... Though mine blows drinks cans nearly in half, which is also a bit weird from what I've read. From 10 metres that is though, so pretty close... Also, over the years I've been shot numerous times with CO2 fired 4.5mm BBs (or as you yanks say Beeeee Beeees 😀) through jeans, lower body only etc and they sting for a second but don't really hurt (we were idiots, during our youth, there's no sense denying it). I'm not usually such a big camp, but I'm reluctant to be shot by this one as it seems to have a fair old bit of snap to it. I got one in the leg from a Gamo PR-45 once and that really did sting and it feels similar to that power wise. I'm sure it'll bed in and become pathetic with time, but at the moment, it's a good deal stronger than I expected.

Can I use 4.5 steel bbs with the green gas version?

Wolffer shooters all around like the bfl to kick back on it and it actually make noise for 120 99 that's the same price of a lot for a real one

The only thing I don't like is the slide doesn't go back all the way

Is the rear sight removable on the umarex?

well so on average I got around 4-5 mags worth a co2 cartridge, so whenever I go out with my friends and do this I normally have an extra pocket for about 5 or 6 cartridges hope this helps :)

I am not for sure, I know the back sight is removable and I think the front is but I didn't try, the other concern is if the firearm sights will fit this frame. I would search to see if anyone else has tried it before doing it OR make sure you do a video showing how you do it.

I've been looking everywhere to buy a Gen 4 Glock, but can't find anywhere that has it in stock, can you tell me where i can buy one??? I have a Gen 3, but the Gen 4 is the one i want real bad!!

Yeah, crazy laws in different places, seems like every year it gets harder here in the US too.

It looks and feels great but the BB shoots 10-15cm lower than the target, is there any way to fix this defect? The sights are non adjustable and the hop up screw is useless

No, it is a fixed sight. It might be removable but on the Glock firearms that are optic ready, they have a cut -out plate on the slide.

Why do you continuously put your hand in front of the muzzle

My only problem with this is the bulb screw that holds the co2 in the magazine strips so easily and new magazines are 50-60$ it’s already hard enough to get the stripped bulb screw out of the magazine but then Umarex doesn’t even sell spare screws nor do they keep them on stand by to send to customers with this issue. I contacted Umarex and they sent me a link to a parts store that didn’t even have the bulb screw and told me they don’t carry them. Seems to me like they want us to buy new magazines and fill their pockets instead of sending loyal customers a spare magazine screw

Use silicon oil, I use RWS chamber lube. Just make sure you use a non petroleum oil. Just one drop on the CO2 small end will work.

No license should be required for BB or Airsoft pistols, there might be some laws in certain states that I am not aware of though.

How many shots can you get out of one co2 cartiradge, in the Glock 17 gen 4? Lets say its 80˚F outside a sunny day. What do you think?
