The company started in Columbia. They have worked with Hyosung, it seems they do not now. The bike is to my experience an unusual pairing of a small (you will excuse me) engine with a six speed transmission.

Hi Dino, i am looking for a bike which i can keep for many years to come. I am confused between Domina 400 and Commando. I liked the looks of Commando. I still have few queries for Commando, can you try and answer them - As there are very less showrooms, should we be worried about spares & servicing of the bike? I am concerned about longivity of the bike (read as - Long running) can we trust on this bike?

this is very affordable for our country and not available locally :(

UM is the only bike to feature all the goodies that a bike should have, why don't bigger brand consider this? 200mm ground clearance, doesn't seems it has that.

The reality Aayush is, this is a product of Xcross China, listed on their website.. anyone can buy it, rebadge it, and the Buyer can sell it under their name.. I can register a company in Italy with a fake Italian name, and then but the same "commando" from Xcross Chonjing, put a sticker on it with my fake italian name, and ship the bikes directly from China to India and sell it.. LML is selling this under their name, there is another company called "EIDER Motors" that tried to sell the same bike (200 cc version) from the same manufacturer - but under their own Eider motors name.. (you can see a video of their bike on youtube if you search for "Eider Motors").. The Eider motors was shut down and the owner was arrested by the Indian Govt. for financial fraud. Otherwise, we would have had two companies selling this Chinese product claiming a non-existent American "history". It is amazing how gullible people can be..

Just don't give a look at the engine. It doesn't looks like a cruiser bike engine at all! It rather looks like a normal commuter engine. The built quality isn't good either. For 2 lacks, they should provide premium quality. Its high time for UM to get serious and work on the built quality of their bikes. Nevertheless, the overall looks of the bike makes us forget its shortcomings.
