@BrunoMontreal Yeah, That last sentence is what I believe. Image and others were doing the same 'groundbreaking' coloring. Marvel just needed to buy computers and a program or two... They didn't need to buy an entire company for coloring. They did release comics of the Malibu characters initially after purchasing the company. They didn't have the success with the characters that Malibu had, because Marvel's idea of story then and now is to do a crossover.

@BrunoMontreal Marvel didn't need to buy Malibu to switch to digital coloring. It wasn't an ancient Chinese secret or anything.

CrashLanden Marvel's acquisition of Malibu was sort of a comedy of errors. While they did want the company's coloring process they actually did initially intend to use Prime, Hardcase, Mantra and the rest of the company's properties it's just that it seemed the people running Marvel had no idea what made the characters actually work hence why we got crap like the "All New Mantra." Alas it seems that the Malibu characters are now in some kind of weird legal limbo so we won't see them again any time soon.

@BrunoMontreal Believe it or not, I think the ad worked. Marvel bought their company.
