    You can do the same thing with some store bought ceramic coating, a stright swab and a drill, for a hell of a lot less that what that "boom treatment" most likely cost.

    the only 2 barrels I know that can shoot straight after a paint break are the freak xl with the ACP tip and the J&J ceramic barrels (old school, but still work great). fresh tournament grade paint are your best bet for top accuracy. good luck

    Question: how do you measure what your operating pressure is, before or after the Ultrasilk treatment? No pressure gauge on the geo 4 so I was just curious. Does the boom treatment require them to disassemble the regulator?

  • @wadeonwheels

    @wadeonwheels

    2 жыл бұрын

    I believe they do disassemble the regulator and treat the internals of the regulator. You wouldn’t be able to precisely measure it but you can tell by the velocity, if the velocity is increased without making any adjustments, then your operating pressure has decreased. Leading you to lower your velocity to achieve the same FPS. So I did not have a way to measure it Precisely but do know by those factors the operating pressure is lower.

    @@axledog7297 Yea that will never happen. He says the fps went up due to the treatment. Yea or they just screwed in the reg adjuster a quarter turn more then before it was disassembled. Like wtf is wrong with these gullible morons feeding companies charging for snake oil products.

    Ey @@axledog7297 it's better than nothing, and scientifically we can infer that it did increase efficiency as ultimately, he did have to lower operating pressure to achieve the same velocity

    Like the video very good info. But if your a regular customer and hang with the team there at lone wolf I think your opinion might be a little bias. Not to mention you wearing their shirt in the video.

  • @wadeonwheels

    I can appreciate that. But I don’t hang with the team, I’m a local so I used to play at the indoor field during the winter when they had it. I also just genuinely like these guys, they have always been there to help me out when needed so I have bought merch as I do with most of the paintball companies that sell it. I enjoy supporting local businesses and paintball businesses in general. Caesar and I have talked about the boom treatment and coming as machinist in the racing industry I understand the how the product works and it’s claims. Iv always been skeptical but I always like trying things out. Caesar said he would have no problem with me putting the boom treatment through a test that was to shoot through broken paint. I understand I’m no scientist but I also wasn’t trying to be one. I just wanted to see if it would shoot through the broken paint. I believe it performs better after the boom treatment but it’s a geo4 so definitely splitting hairs because it’s already so good. I appreciate the honesty, I wasn’t trying to make a kiss ass video to them I just was happy with the results. And had a lot of fun making the video. But if there is anything else you want me to try out let me know. I do mainly motorcycles stuff so I’m no paintball expert by any means I just come at it as a normal dude.

    I’m calling BS definitely not worth the asking price because it’s not really making that HUGE of a difference. If it was overwhelming of a difference I’d say sure it’s worth the money. The numbers aren’t eye popping enough for me.

  • @wadeonwheels

    @wadeonwheels

    Жыл бұрын

    I can appreciate that thought process. It would probably have better numbers and be more worth it on a less expensive and top of the line gun. So like a fully boom treated mechanical gun would probably see a lot more benefits because most of the benefits come from moving parts and in the Geo 4 there just really isn’t very many moving parts so you don’t get that much benefit from it. But to your point if I was gonna spend the money to do it, I was going to put it on my most expensive gun, which was probably not the smartest idea because it would’ve had more benefits on a cheaper gun.

    What does boom treated mean?

  • @wadeonwheels

    @wadeonwheels

    2 жыл бұрын

    Boom treatment is a coating that is in the anodize of the gun leading it to be extremely smooth. Basically nothing can stick to it meaning all of your pieces that move past one another that need grease actually work more efficiently and if a ball breaks in your barrel the paint doesn’t stick to it so the next couple shots clean the barrel out. Also with boom treated inserts you get this benefit. Basically it allows you to shoot shitty paint better.

    @@wadeonwheels will do any tips or pointers for the LV1.6 and what upgrades is the best for it?

  • @wadeonwheels

    @wadeonwheels

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@adriansoto5018 oh man the lv 1.6 is hard to upgrade because is so good out of the box. The FL barrel kit from Planet Eclipse is really well made. Because the LV uses more moving parts it would actually benefit more from being boom treated, that’s why the boom treatment is very popular in the auto cocker world. ( a lot of moving parts that need grease) So to answers your questions, completing the barrel kit and boom treatment would have the LV 1.6 at its MAX with shooting good paint, it would be arguably the best gun on the market. But the LV has a specific shot style so not everyone will like it. Some will argue the TM40 boom treated is the best on the market. Or an Ultra Shocker. But those are like $2k-$3k
