This episode is more than touching, also inspiring. When Himeya knows the reason why he is chosen, he is willingly to scarified himself defeating Dark Mephisto. Himeya realises the fact that his scarification is not important. The light must be inherited by someone who fights for life and the earth.

It really sucks how this show did not do good when it first aired, and yes I know this series is for adults. I really hope Nexus gets a sequel or something in the future.

10 years since i first watched nexus. this episode made me cry when i was 10. Jun Himeya, you will never be forgotten.

For the longest time, I couldn't fathom how this series had the lowest ratings of all Ultra serieses. I liked the dark-toned approach, and its depth in plot. Sure its different from the other colorful cheery Ultramen installments, but I understood the direction they were headed and really thought it had a good run. The scene from 9:38 has so much emotion; Jun had been fighting all that time perceiving it to be his punishment, for not being able to save Sera. Ironically his photos of when he was in (presumably South East Asia) shot him to fame, and that made it worse for him. Thinking he'd die alone, he's such a broken yet strong-willed character. I have no hate for the other ultra serieses, I just hope we can appreciate this Nexus installment as it should. Just my two cents.

A lot of people tend to dislike it because it's not for children. Just like Kamen Rider Ryuki. I met a guy who said that Ryuki is a shit show because it is a dark series. It's not that hard to believe that he will have the same opinion for Nexus too.

Also, Himeya is literally OP as Nexus. It's stated that he wasn't at his full strength throughout the time we saw him as the Deunamist, with the only time he was being in this final fight with Mephisto/Mizorogi.

Well, that's the thing about this ultra series. It has some realistic and mature part in the story. Unlike other ultra series, being Nexus host actually have some risks, one is that the host carry their injuries as Nexus to their human body. That's why the deunamist is almost never at their full strength, and it's become harder for them to transform every time. Man, i really wish we could see all 52 episodes of this

@@beattheburning5413 ultraman nexus had 50 episodes, but when it been released at 2004, the rating was low as shit because it televised at tv channel for children. That the reason why they make some cut and become on 37 episodes (exclude 2 special episodes). I hope I can watch all the series full 50 episodes but it will never happen 😢 Sorry for my English, hope you understand what I said.
