Nice! Always interesting to learn what started a collection. I know for me, my current obsession with DC figures can be traced to the DC Essentials Knightfall Batman.

This series of the first 3 all went on clearance pretty quickly. Looking forward to finishing Starro!

2 things that I really don't like when it comes to how the figs look is the diaper thingy and it's articualtion. Yes, some of Todd's figs are posable but some figs look really stupid when the diaper things looks noticable A LOT. For example, the 1st Nightwing from the batmobile baf was very much an ok fig but the turn off for me was that his crotch area was looking like a big diaper which still happens to this day. And almost all of Todd's figs can move back A LOT but crunching forward is never a lot, my Swamp Thing can't even crunch forward a lot. I do wish Todd fixes this things.

Todd's wonder woman kinda looks like she'd fit better with batman from last knight on earth. Like her figure is comic accurate but I always felt like she needed more armor in the setting lol We picked up super woman on clearance and starro is my fiances first build a figure she wants to complete.

I think it makes sense that they can't call this one Ultraman any more because... well, the *real* Ultraman is getting more attention in America now. ...and only in America it seems. Over here in 'Straya we're not so lucky, but I digress.

I swapped heads with the Red and Blue Justice League Superman permanently. I love both figures that way. That Cavill head gives the Ultraman figure that kind of Italian Guido look which is how he has been portrayed in the animated movies. And the new sculpt fits the smaller build of the JL body.

I was hoping to see a vs with new 52 Ultraman. I prefered the Forever Ever look, but with the new mcfarlane, how much better is it.

I love how you didn’t even attempt to pronounce Mr. Mxyzptlk’s name. It’s ok though, as long as you can trick him into saying it you’re good 👍

Excellent review! I was on the fence about this figure, primarily because of the head (for some reason it reminds me of James Dean). I also got it on sale ($12.00), that and Starro sold me on it. I swapped out the head with the McFarlane Red Son Superman and am happy with how it looks.

Def worth it if you can get it on clearance

I wish they all came with an action packed picture card like this one. I thought his hands were also blue. May just be in the JLA Syndicate Rule Arc. I wish I had the Mr. Mxyptlk. If the Superman&Lois one didn't have the S on the belt, could switch "the diapers" on the Ultraman suit.

Isn’t Ultraman technically already copyrighted? Id assume they can let it slide for being in a different country. Although I know even less about Japanese copyright law than I do about American copyright law.

Why did they call it super man of earth 3 lol? That’s so stupid. He’s not superman he’s ultraman. But either way the body on this guy is…odd. He has the same body as rebirth supes, but they have some kind of weird cut off in the abdomen. Also, why are the hands so big and the chest symbol so extruded? But it’s a crime syndicate future so yes I will take it.

Because this Superman is from the multiverse where there's several versions of Superman. Yes it's Ultraman but he's that world's Superman. It's not stupid if you read the comics.

@@EddieNova look mostly I’m just salty cause the card says “earth 3 superman” and not “ultra man” it doesn’t matter but it just bugs me. It’d be like if owlman said “earth 3 Batman” or superwoman said “earth 3 Wonder Woman”

5:28.... Just seeing that T crotch on essentials flash makes me throw up in my mouth... But the Rebirth Flash right after it shows just why the McFarlane trunks are far superior for clean silhouette and full range of articulation... pointless head swaps for nightmares coming in hot...🔥💀

Garbage figure, just like all of McFarlane's figures....DC should just return to Mattel or even Hasbro
