    @BaWe59 - Yes, the right pedal is for the throttle, and the left pedal is for the wheel-brakes. Most trikes also have a cruise-throttle lever mounted on the side of the seat.

    I have thousands of hours of flying time from small supersonic jets to large jet transports, but I needed about 6 hours of dual instruction in a larger 2-place trike. All of the control inputs of a trike are reversed from the normal control inputs of a conventional airplane, so you MUST learn a different habit-pattern with no mistakes close to the ground, when landing and taking off.

  • @webcamfann
    @webcamfann13 жыл бұрын

    @rockonmario - Best to use ethanol-free auto pump gas 87 octane or higher. My trike has a Rotax-447 2-cycle engine that requires 2-cycle air-cooled oil mixed with gas 50 to 1 ratio.

  • @webcamfann
    @webcamfann13 жыл бұрын

    @HongKongBoyz100 - Trikes are reasonably safe, but you do not have as much control with weight-shift aircraft as you do with a 3-axis aileron, elevator, and rudder aircraft. You have no yaw-control with weight-shift aircraft, so they are very limited for crosswind takeoffs and landings. Bank control is also not as fast or as positive as a conventional 3-axis aircraft.

    Used you maybe able to find one starting around $5,000.00 & up depends on how old it is & how many hours & how much wear & tear, the sail is probably going to have lost it crispness. There isn't a big market for them as many want a new one to start & after a couple of years emwhen their skill level gets better they will go into a high performance job it's a matter of speed more speed means you can go farther faster. It gets kind of boring flying around the landing area & then after awhile you want more reach

    @walk2fly = I live in Florida, USA . For a true ultralight, weighing less than 254lbs or 278lbs with an emergency parachute, you don't need to certify or register it. No license or medical certificate is required to fly it, but I strongly urge you to get some DUAL instruction with an instructor before you attempt to fly one.
