I love how he’s doing the intro as a nice prob 2 lb bass just strolls away into the deep and he is like oh well funny and good way to not freak out my good sir! Very important key factor

haha, I still don't know exactly what that fish was, it looked like a carp to me, but I didn't pay much attention until you and other people commented about it.
I always try to take a bag or bucket of trash out of fishing holes or conservation areas. Earned my sub.

That's crazy, its always great when you can find the absolute jumbos! A few weeks back I caught a jet black 10" gill out of a spillway in south Florida. Thanks for the comment!
Man I just watched this again & enjoyed it even more the 2nd time. That Pumpkin Seed was a really good one, & the Carp was pretty rad looking also. Brilliant on the trash & the 2LB line. Great Video!

@@GavinGalka I'm in North Carolina so using ice fishing lures probably aren't even thought of down here but I am going to order some of these just to throw something different at some of the highly pressured ponds that I fish at, I will let you know how they work out.

Nice! Believe it or not when I was in North Carolina last summer I threw some ice lures in a mountain creek and I had some small trout hit them. They just didn't hold on long enough for a hookset. Anyways, definitely let me know how it works!
Outstanding video, and not to mention cleaning up the area. I do have one question though; and that is - what type of rig (rod & reel) setup are you running, as it totally awesome! Keep the videos coming.

Thanks, yes it was a white Clam maki and I put on an ice fishing jig, Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas should have them, hopefully you find em.

Yeah, probably a Creek Chub, they are related to carp. They are fun to catch, I usually target them in the winter when all the lakes and ponds by my house are frozen and I can only fish the creeks.

The one I used was a random unpackaged ice jig from a tackle shop, but if I were to estimate size, its probably about a 3-4mm.

It very well could have been, I didn't consider that, probably because harvesting fish here is very uncommon because the pollution is bad.

I've always wanted him to make an ultralight salt rod, but he only makes them for freshwater. In fact, the one I use in this video is just about the biggest rod he makes 'cause he mostly makes them for ice fishing.

I’ve always caught my flathead bait where I’m fishing for them. It’s easy for me because the flathead areas are loaded with bluegill and green sunfish. It feels to me like I’m just stepping into the food chain. I also keep them alive and release what I don’t use at the end of the session.

They are called hemostats. The ones I use are "Dr. Slick Spring Creek Clamps" and are made for fishing. This specific pair has a very fine point which is great for grabbing and holding really small hooks.

Welcome to the channel! I don't have a link, but the jig heads I used were some cheap lead ice fishing jigs I got from a tackle shop and the soft plastic I used was a Clam Outdoors Maki. Hopefully that helps you find em.

yeah, I'll probably wear gloves next time lol And yes he sells the rods, his season for custom building them is usually the winter, but he sells anything that he's already built year round.
