Indeed, but NOT moving the camera is way more cursed. I know by experience, since I developed a tech demo (inspired by ultrakill) and I wanted to lock the screen with hit stops. It just feels... wrong. It feels the mouse got unplugged by some windows lag or something. Even just deacceleration feels sluggish. Mouse movement responsiveness is somehow sacred in FPS.

fun fact, soldiers immunity to explosions are actually only there if they can see you, or know you are there, so if you had blind enemies and spawned a soldier, projectile boost and normal rockets do work on him.

I think a neat buff they could give to the firestarter is that when an oiled enemy gets ignited by an explosion, the explosion that ignited it becomes red, bigger, and has double damage. One use case I can see is being a very easy way to core nuke flesh prison by just oiling up flesh prison instead of shooting a core.

firestarter was absolutely gutted this update there were a few places i would use the water oil explosion thing but now its so bad it STRUGGLES to kill FILTH its astonishing just how badly nerfed this thing was the only positive thing it got was being able to use explosives on maurices (soldiers too but who cares) but it does so little damage that the fire DoT from the oil already deals more damage

From what I'm guessing as of brutal getting all of these nerfs, ULTRAKILL Must Die difficulty is most likely just gonna be pre patch brutal with some major buffs to some enemies, whenever that difficulty gets released which is probably gonna happen when either the entirety of ACT 3 releases or a few months or weeks after P-3 releases

Initially, I didn’t notice that the patch came out, and today I tried to install mods for the first time, and when I saw the glowing interface, I couldn’t understand why it looked so bad and was looking for which mod to turn off. im a big fan of the firestarters oil specifically so i dont have to worry about hitting enemies directly bc im bad (you can tapfire the oil to make a small area of "can be hit and creates an explosion")

I have an idea for a Firestarter buff that might make it usable again. Basically, my idea is the oil should do a big of damage when ignited, kinda like a more subtle version of what it does in water. But when on an enemy, the amount of oil the enemy has should determine the ignite damage. So maybe a fully pr mostly oiled cerb would be damaged enough that the residual fire would kill it. Basically it would incentivise fully oiling enemies.

fun fact, soldiers immunity to explosions are actually only there if they can see you, or know you are there, so if you had blind enemies and spawned a soldier, projectile boost and normal rockets do work on him.

fun fact this is because they actively block when hit by explosives, you can see the animation. makes sense
ferryman nerf is extremely good for the cybergrind, I had to completely change my cybergrind play style because of their lightning

@@boi2192yea but before the chargebacked lightning would still damage yourself so it wasn’t a great defensive option
I think a neat buff they could give to the firestarter is that when an oiled enemy gets ignited by an explosion, the explosion that ignited it becomes red, bigger, and has double damage. One use case I can see is being a very easy way to core nuke flesh prison by just oiling up flesh prison instead of shooting a core.

They should make firestarter do red fire that deal more damage. Firestarter already pretty niche, they could use it so it makes it pretty usable and easy to use on most enemy

for the cerberus, the dash bug fix was when a cerberus would dash off a ledge, especially in the p-2 blood tunnel and fall and die

firestarter was absolutely gutted this update there were a few places i would use the water oil explosion thing but now its so bad it STRUGGLES to kill FILTH its astonishing just how badly nerfed this thing was the only positive thing it got was being able to use explosives on maurices (soldiers too but who cares) but it does so little damage that the fire DoT from the oil already deals more damage

Rest in peace to the niche Firestarter explosion tech with water. No longer are we able to clear rooms of enemies in a matter of seconds, despite there being weapons that do it as fast (if not, faster).
20:00 The thing about cerberi not falling was referencing them not falling of ledges while dashing
With regards to the speedometer, it only captures your horizontal speed; so slamming registers as 0 since it is purely vertical movement.
16:35 Transition from Dreams into Siren Song along with the accompanying visuals is probably my favorite moment in all of Ultrakill.

malicious face and virtues received the sound of receiving damage. virtue got crispy one which I like. about the Cerberi update, I think this means that if he makes a dash into the abyss, then hey will not fall until they makes a second. it is also worth attention to know that the change in the fire sprite is also a thing in 1-2: BURNING WORLD level

the core jackhammer trajectory change is SUCH A GOOD BUFF before it was basically impossible to use the core jackhammer midair because the trajectory was so wonky, but now you can actually use it and not tear your brains out which is cool

20:40 The change makes it so that cerberi no longer fall OFF of ledges when performing the second tackle, which used to make them fall off all of the time during cybergrind.
The tram now go faster if you use the jumpstart on them in this update and it’s a great addition for Speedrunning!

From what I'm guessing as of brutal getting all of these nerfs, ULTRAKILL Must Die difficulty is most likely just gonna be pre patch brutal with some major buffs to some enemies, whenever that difficulty gets released which is probably gonna happen when either the entirety of ACT 3 releases or a few months or weeks after P-3 releases

Initially, I didn’t notice that the patch came out, and today I tried to install mods for the first time, and when I saw the glowing interface, I couldn’t understand why it looked so bad and was looking for which mod to turn off. But when I went into a regular game and saw the glow, for a very long time I could not understand what was happening, and why I did not notice it in my 220 hours on Steam.

im a big fan of the firestarters oil specifically so i dont have to worry about hitting enemies directly bc im bad (you can tapfire the oil to make a small area of "can be hit and creates an explosion")
I have an idea for a Firestarter buff that might make it usable again. Basically, my idea is the oil should do a big of damage when ignited, kinda like a more subtle version of what it does in water. But when on an enemy, the amount of oil the enemy has should determine the ignite damage. So maybe a fully pr mostly oiled cerb would be damaged enough that the residual fire would kill it. Basically it would incentivise fully oiling enemies.
Jumpstarting the tram is hilarious
the mindflayer change means you can transfer the screw to another enemy, so pretty nice for cyber grind and other circumstances
the cerberi not falling over is about them falling over the edge while dashing, quite a buff in CG

the cerberus would have a sort of skid after it dashed where it would be on its knees with a hand on the ground, thats whar it was referring to, i think

I'm pretty sure cores always shared your momentum. It makes hitting the core more consistent while Bhopping, but not completely without error.

Also the cerb buff is for the P-2 tunnels, as the cerbs used to be able to fall into the blood walls and die without being angered (or maybe the buff is so they dont fall when enraged?)

Being able to look and aim during hitstops also makes it easier to aim with pogo stick'd cores.
The Cerberus change means that it doesn't fall off the map with the second dash anymore

If I had to guess, the glowy weapons thing is probably tied to freshness. The more glowy it is, the higher your freshness meter.

Not only lightning doesnt hurt you anymore but now if you chargeback a lightning into a core eject it'll do some kind of core nuke dealing around 20 damage
I hope screenshotting is updated, it very rarely works in ultrakill but will work in other games
