The front part is "washed concrete" technology. Better apply teratio technology and it will look rich and beautiful. Marble chips and crushed stone of different colors.

I looked up "teratio technology" and found nothing to do with cement or concrete. Lots of computer code references though. Can you elaborate on that a bit?

An easy question, from Argentina, but without easy answers. How to avoid upward curling, no size of the pice, for example 50cm x 30cm, or 2 meters x 1 meter (a countertop, for example)? Thickness is around 1”. Always working indoor. All mixes are GFRC. Thank you, from Argentina

Uneven moisture loss is the leading cause of curling. Put strips of wood under your piece after demolding and let it cure with even airflow on the top and bottom. If you need more information - give us a call or email. (607)775-1948 Rich@trinic.us

What is the compound they laid down first, that was easily polished off with that big Ryobi tool?

It’s a retarder that stops the first 1/4” or so of concrete from setting up so it can be easily washed off.

Sorry for the late response. It's a retarder (not sure which product exactly) that prevents the concrete from setting, so that layer can later be removed to expose the aggregate face. If you'd like to know more please email Vince@trinic.us
