Interesting, I just got back and Razzle Dazzle served the best pork belly, fried chicken and creme brûlée. There were vegan options but plenty of non vegan. It was so good!!

That is fantastic that you enjoyed Razzle Dazzle! We don't eat breaded items (carbs) or things fried in highly processed, manufactured seed oils (canola and processed vegetable oils) so that is why we don't eat there. Plant based items are normally highly processed with manufactured ingredients. The Creme Brulé contains single processed sugars. Not for everyone but we just choose to eat natural single ingredient foods, no sugars and not manufactured. There are so many options on Virgin that fit into these categories. Keep enjoying your adventures! Thanks so much for sharing and for watching!

Compelling, especially the itineraries from San Juan. I believe I would choose a premium balcony as I've heard the mattresses are superior. A fresh take on food options and variety I see as one of Virgin's strongest cases to try at least once. From my prior comment, why we chose Princess over Celebrity. They're both 10 night Halloween cruises, and indeed Celebrity is a bit cheaper on the surface. I can also get wifi/drinks/tips+ for $60 per day, where X is charge $80 just for wifi and drinks. Princess minis-suite was $2,200 with perks, standard X veranda $2,000 with perks (tips not included). Doing side-by-side food comparisons, Princess seemed stronger. Likely a fluke, but I have bad memories of no vegetables on our last X cruise, with 5 B2B sea days. On the flip side, I'm not sure the Princess atmosphere and decor is my thing, and I've long had the impression that there are a lot of petty cruise snobs. I'm going to keep a Carnival Cruise lanyard and room key under my shirt, and play along as the lost cruiser who got on the wrong ship, should this happen!

Those are great points regarding the add on costs on Celebrity vs Princess. Celebrity's drink packages and more so, specialty dining costs are very high comparatively. That is one thing that Virgin excels at - specialty level dining. Virgin has been providing substantial bar tabs in their promotions so drinks shouldn't be too much more. I think your Carnival lanyard idea is brilliant! LOL. I would love to see the looks you get from the premium "snobs" since I do know what you mean. All cruise lines have them from time to time and with The Retreat on Celebrity, there is somewhat of a class distinction but it is very subtle.

Glad that you enjoyed it! No we are not vegan - nothing plant based, highly manufactured or processed. We only do single ingredient foods that are fresh and not manufactured. The Korean BBQ was set up to be made with ghee and not canola oil but the music was overwhelming. Why? Yes I guess I am an old fart. Keto, Carnivore or just healthy single ingredient foods that are not processed or manufactured in a lab is completely observed and provided IF YOU ASK FOR IT! All the fried foods, sweets and breaded items will still contain highly processed ingredients so request and choose accordingly. Thanks for watching and for sharing!

I saw raw oysters. I'm mad about raw oysters and cold beer. Does anyone know how much Celebrity is asking for them in Raw on 5? I saw somewhere that in 2023 they were asking a very reasonable $18 per dozen. OMG! Look at that tomahawk steak at 24:44. It looks perfect. Brother wants to gnaw on the bone too. This is the way!

Those oysters were excellent! We discovered this by accident. It was not on the menu and that was the small version! We had the onboard credit to spend so I think this costs $30 for two. I saw on the Raw on 5 Menu on Celebrity that half dozen was $12 and dozen was $24. I have seen much higher here at home. We did the seafood platter two days in a row. The tomahawk was incredible and another good use of OBC!
