I have been wearing Levi's 501s for over 50 years and I have never seen an orange tab 501. They are always red tabs. Orange tabs were only used on lesser jeans.

I'm shooting a closet tour soon and will show this. My denim is folded and stored on shelves. I have it double stacked so I rotate denim to the front or back depending on the season and my mood. I hope this helps!

I recommend 550 and 501. Both have a wider panel in the back and hips (other styles are very narrow in the hips). I hope that helps!
