I've been so busy playing Diablo since release, I'm sorry for the delay on uploading! I plan to upload a video per day for the rest of this week, and continue more active uploads afterwards.
In this video I'm showcasing my variation of the Twisted Blades Rogue build. (No I'm not taking credit for this build, I'm sure there are others out there who thought of this as well). The first build is the build I used for leveling, focused on having plentiful movement options to be quick while leveling, and offer more options to position properly for pulling twisting blades through enemies.
The second build is focused on poison damage, and forgoes Shadow Step to take Poison Imbuement for additional damage. This build feels great to play, and having the extra damage from Poison Imbuement feels really great.
My biggest question for you: WHAT BUILD ARE YOU PLAYING? Rogue seems like it has a very healthy amount of build options between bow builds and melee TB/flurry builds.
My current build is focused on poison damage, and keeping our uptime high ensuring we benefit from all of our poison-based passives in the skill tree.
Let me know what you think of this video in the comments below. If you enjoyed, make sure to subscribe so you don't miss any future uploads!

I like how you actually take the time to break down the mechanics of a move/skill then show a physical example. This is possibly the most well presented tuts I've ever seen. Good content, you don't drag on, clear speaking voice and your insight is viable. Thank you for this, i have now subbed and will be looking forward to scrolling thru your backed catalog and future videos 😊

This is one of the best Diablo build guides I've ever seen, across all titles. Detailed explanations that don't assume anyone's familiarity, while also not taking 45 minutes to describe one particular element. Well earned sub!

Thanks for sharing.. I think I’m gonna try this build out. I need to level my character first though
Just realized I said “spender” when talking about Puncture. It’s a filler for when you have no energy, and a way to isolate vulnerable debuff on target enemies like Elites.
Blizzard has sent out some pretty substantial nerds to TB rogue. This build is still playable, and strong for leveling - but I will be posting a new video on Monday covering my new build for level 65+
I love this build video because you explain how you use the abilities

I also replaced poison with shadow, I usually imbue and dark shroud before a fight and then dash in, place a trap and use puncture and twisted while dashing around
So I’ve found that when you use imbuement with the shadow clone ultimate, it doubles the poison build up. Plus if you have crit and lucky chance increase armor, unlock the perk that has a 30% chance to do double poison. Long story short, Shadow Clone + Poison Imbuement = Double Dmg output

Why would you not have blade dancer aspect on bow for the doubled stats/ damage?
@Valuedx
Жыл бұрын
Specifically for leveling. Just because of how often you replace your sword.
@moarblood5120
Жыл бұрын
@Valued sword is one handed and only gives half, u never use ur bow... I'm level 38 with a lvl 20 bow with it on now cause it makes my twisting blade damage twice as much and I never use bow so not losing mich but stats. I get the not putting it on sword or dagger cause u switch it out often, but you get double what you would put on a sword putting it in bow, it's your main source of damage and u really only gotta change out your bow every 25 to 30 levels until max. Was curious of there was a reason or just something you missed, don't mean to sound like a smartass.
@Valuedx
Жыл бұрын
@@moarblood5120 Well your bow is counted for the stats and DPS. Keep in mind that Puncture (our basic skill) is a marksman. IE: If I have a level 20 bow at level 38, my basic skills are doing less damage. And while leveling, you're using puncture a lot. To sum up my 2 cents on it: 1) Bow dps is relevant for Puncture scaling 2) Lower level bows will have lower % modifiers for secondary stats, and additionally have less rows (I forget which level - but rares change from having 2 bonus traits to 3-4 at a certain level)
@moarblood5120
Жыл бұрын
@Valued I understand your reasoning for why now and I didn't realize that puncture was a marksman skill and most likely scales off bow, but you are halving your overall.damage of your big damage dealer so your basic attack isn't low damage. I may be looking at it differently, but puncture is only chosen for the range, slow, energy regen and vulnerable... all of which it can do even if its.damagw is one. When ur twisting blades does 8k instead of 4k... it's much more of a factor. Idk maybe I'm missing something as I'm still learning the system myself and I don't mean to sound like I'm harping. Just seems like you are gimping half of your damage u could be doing. Course I rely on twisting and shadow imbue for all my damage so may be a little different.
@Valuedx
Жыл бұрын
@@moarblood5120 Later into the end game when I'm less frequently replacing gear, I will be putting the aspect on my weapon. No you aren't harping, it's good to wrap your head around all the systems and understand them. I appreciate the insightful comments :)

@@Valuedx That's cool, I used this build from lvl 1 to 50 without much problems but when I did some endgame content i noticed that I had some trouble. @@totalrko I really want Flurry to be good, it's so much fun. I think we just need some more aspects targetting Flurry, because the survivability is really good with Siphoning Strikes and CRC, but the damage seems lackluster compared to Twisting Blades (even after the nerfs)

kinda curious why you wouldn't opts for the twisting blade aspect on the bow since its 100% increase to its stats. So that 10% becomes 20% and the 20% becomes 40% which is a pretty big damage change I would imagine over the imbued aspect that that does nothing for you since you don't use shadow imbued. I at least personally don't really replace my bow/crossbow unless theres really good secondary stats since to my knowledge its damage doesn't matter since you don't shoot it, its basically a stat stick and a 2h which is why its great for your primary offensive aspect since it gets 100% bonus effect.
@Valuedx
Жыл бұрын
Long term you do want it on your weapon. Just, while you're leveling - it's not worth keeping it on your weapon because you're replacing weapons very often.
@Notaforumguy007
Жыл бұрын
@@Valuedx I'm saying the bow which is the thing that gets the 100% bonus not the 1hands which assuming its actual damage stats don't impact damage (since you never fire a shot with it as twisting blades) should be the thing you replace the least. Therefore perfect to put the aspect on, since all you actually care about then is its secondary stats which although do climb with higher gear score the rate isn't that huge you'd need to replace it maybe every 20 levels if you got a comparable piece at that level. I'd have to verify it myself but thats my assumption through out my own leveling is that bow/crossbows are effectively stat sticks unless you are using it for abilities therefore replacing it cause the damage on its base is higher isn't necessary. Your 1 hands, melee weapons I agree should be replaced as higher base damage comes up.
