2jz is impossible to remake without big modifications cuz emissions. Also manufacturing facilities for I6 turbo engines would probably be expensive AF and not worth it

@@thecoolestloginname Yeah, a 30 year old engine. No chance the 2JZ would pass emission standards today. The BMW straight 6 is the best option Toyota could have opted for. There's no better straight 6 in the world (speaking of modern engines which are tunable to 1000+hp) And some Mk5 Supras already pushing 1000+hp. Auto-trans? Well, atleast it can handle some power better than a dual clutch transmission, so that's not that bad. Just sad that no manual tranny is offered.

Finally a great supra comp. No cap I dont understand y ppl even think they have a chance if a random supra pulls up to u on the free way. Like I would get off at the closet exit and get back on when ik that supra is gone

It's been a life goal of mine since I was about 16 years old(thanks F&F) to eventually own a MK4. Haven't gotten around to it yet but every year I'm on the look out for them. Soon enough it'll happen and I'll pull the trigger on a TT 6-speed with a clean history and less than 100K miles in the Northeast tri-state area. I wasn't well enough financially to have bought one a few years back when they weren't selling for $60,000+ sadly lol. Nothing beats that single turbo 2JZ sound.
