Got 3hrs on the sim, and glad I took the advice of you an other, way harder than I thought it would be. Gonna log some more hours and wait for the holiday season to pass to see if I want to pull the trigger on a fpv. Might get a dji mini either way lol. Good video.

Thank you so much~~!! This is a great information which i need exactly right now. I am thinking of buying Geprc Mark 5 for my next FPV drone after my current Avata. I was some kind of lost because I was not sure which batteries and charger i should buy for Mark 5. Definitely Your video gave me a great insight for me to move on to Mark 5 with proper accessories.

Great video. Had an air, air 2s and now have an air 3 and an avata. I've gotten quite good at acro with the Avata and spent plenty of time in sims to think about what comes after the Avata. Wondering what you think between the Cinelog35, Mark 5 or bumping up to a Moz7. I don't want to go crazy on freestyle, but would like to be able to do more medium distance flights in the mountains - Utah, Alaska, Europe, Andes in South America. Kind of been thinking that the cinelog35 probably has too short of a flight time and doesn't love wind, the Mark5 has more than enough power, but not long enough flight time and a 7" will just be a PITA to get out into the field because it is so large - I'll need to skin out into the mountains on skis or transport in a backpack out into the field on a helicopter. Would like to be able to do relatively mild freestyle - spins off cliffs etc. and have long enough flight time to get up to interesting stuff a ways away. Wondering if you think a 5" with either larger battery capacity and/or Lion pack with reduced maximal motor output for long range flights would be the ticket vs. just biting the bullet and jumping up to a 7"? Also wondering if I would just be happier keeping the Avata for near people stuff, indoors or whether trading it out for a cinelog 35 is a better call. The need for connecting my phone for RID is kind of a drag with the Avata once you get out in the field.

I honestly have been thinking of selling my Avata because I love my gep rc drones so much better. It was great for learning but I have out grown it. As far as a 7 inch I think that would be the best bet if you want to do a lot of the long range stuff. Thanks for the comment.

@@Matthew_Sherwood Thanks. Just ordered a 6" inch as a compromise between 5" maneuverability and 7" cruising.

Apologies to sound like I’m not reading enough but I’m ready to pick up the GepRc MK5, what’s throwing me is it’s asking which receiver I want. I have DJI goggles and the joypad from my DJI FPV which link straight to the o3 system so why does it give me 3 options of receivers? Again sorry to sound a little dumb but the drone world is much more detailed than the RC truck world so still many things I’m getting my head around. 🌪️

The other options are if you decide to not use the DJI 03 air unit as your receiver for your controller. The controller you would need would be the FPV controller by DJI that would work with the 03 air unit. I personally use the TBS crossfire receiver but honestly you’d be just fine using the DJI 03 air unit and the DJI FPV controller.

The drone receiver combo you would need would be the cheapest one. As this the drone would become without additional receiver, because you will be using your DJI 03 air unit as the receiver for your controller.

@@Matthew_Sherwood that makes a little more sense, the o3 IS the receiver? But if I was using other brand controllers that don’t link to the o3 then I’d need a different receiver? I’m sure the more I become obsessed with the hobby the more I’ll strip them down and understand the functions. So to summarise if I’m using DJI goggles and controller then I’d select the 6s PNP? Really appreciate the info buddy 🙏🏼
