I’m in my 80’s but can very much relate to this video….thank you…..I always add colour to basics and sometimes just one item can change the whole look….! I also love wearing bold primary colours together with my capsule pieces and often get lovely compliments even from strangers ……old doesn’t mean you have to merge into the background….! x

Oh Alexx, you have no idea how much I needed this video from you. You always put my mind in a positive place and a smile on my face. I'm 68 and love your timeless classic minimal style. This past week has been the most stressful week in my life. My heart condition is back probably due to the stress so I'll need another procedure on my heart. My husband is having a hip replaced next week. I lost a dog who passed in my arms, a cat and yesterday I lost my sister all within a week. I want you to know your videos are so much more then just showing us great style content. Sharing your life with us is truly a blessing and joy to me. You always put me in a positive mood. Ty for being a beautiful ray of sunshine in my otherwise cloudy week. I know next week will be better and things could always be worse. I'm trying to stay positive and move forward. Ty so much! I adore the concept of a capsule wardrobe, but rather than seasonal, I wear my pieces all year round (switching up the styling for the weather). I built mine largely around black, navy, fuschia, cobalt, and yellow. The thing that people get “wrong” about capsules, in my view, is the idea of buying it all at once… as opposed to curating thoughtfully, over time, with their specific lifestyle in mind. Fun video!

Love your videos Alex although I’m sure I’m well over the age limit I have and wear many of your capsule outfits and have been getting compliments too, I too have a Burberry trench, I got mine in the middle eighties in a closing down sale for £150 and it looks as good as the day I purchased it a great buy.

Soz to ask but iv seen a navy n tan bag crossbody by I think its paul costello I believe he uses horse like bits in the styling dressage gets mentioned. Do u know if his bags are price worthy ? I really like some that are on qvc. Stripe tops by joules good n wash well. Love listening to you as you say how it is the blue your wearing so suits you . Are doc Martins still in fashion as I really want a pair love them with dresses and suits jeans etc. Sorry to babble on I'm a size 8 /10 .10 on top but love zara online but there sizes I'm terrible with there wide leg jeans same size but each pair varies on the waist. Hello , would you like to make a video that you share your POV for a let say " red bag is matching the best with grey or nude color and blue bag looks the best with a green or yellow and so on " basically we all love the capsule wardrobe and it's here to stay and ofc as a pop of color to a black or white outfit all colors will look good but as getting in to spring it will be really fun try some new color combinations and just experiment a bit ? I stay true to size and have a size S but could probably get away with XS (although I do like them to be quite boxy!)

How does everyone wear whites with their tanner? Particularly in humid summer climates? I’d love to wear white in contrast of a tan but it always transfers and stains for me
