Love my onefinity! My spoil board is almost identical to yours. I think when it’s time to replace the spoil board, I’ll go with t-track. Much faster to replace the boards. One thing I did with mine is to use the machine to bore mounting holes into the table top with t-nuts installed under the table top. Then lay down your spoil board and use the machine to bore the same mounting holes in the spoil board. That makes it easy to flip the board & align it to machine those t-nut recesses in the back side.

Love that CNC. Also, thanks for taking the time to post this. Legitimate question, what is the light doing during your hyperlapses. The only thing I can think of is that your shop is in an elevator with windows, but I'm sure that's not it 😂😂😂

Would drilling thru 2 holes then using a dowel to index them work as well for the alignment when you flip it over?

Think you did the same thing when i first got mine. You over thought your process. This is not a hard process. example: If you are using a 1" surfacing bit. size you want to level is 32"x32" My waste board. I use Vcarve. I make a box 32x32 expanded it by 1' (I use a 1" surfacing bit) recenter so it becomes 33x33 so its .5" bigger on all sides. then i just run a pocket hole with my 1" bit. On the waste board placement: get a #2 pencil brake it in 1/2 take some sand paper sand down one of the broke ends of the pencil try to keep it even. sand it down to where it will fit inside the collet. works great for drawing out your placement for the waste baord.

If you do the bottom side of your waste board first (cutting both the insert hole and the recess) then flip the board over and create the graph, the graph may not be perfectly aligned with the holes but does it matter?

The only benefit you get doing my way is you check the square ness, and having the holes aligned allows you to use screw in material squaring brackets. Other than that yes you're correct that would work just as well!
