Ultimate Solid Axle Chevy S10 Rock lander build!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This video is a compellation of almost all of the Chevy S10 Rock lander build series up to this point. Most of this truck was built in about 6 months and has been broken, fixed, modified and ultimately enjoyed. This truck has seen thousands of on and offroad miles and is comfortable to live out of for long periods of time and will also do the hardest off road trail with ease. I love this truck and use it almost every weekend for the last 9 months. There is still lots to do to finish this truck out so look out for more videos on this!

    Do you think you could keep the front crossmember to hold everything together/add strength, or does it take up too much real estate? I remember someone from four-wheeler doing this, might have been Verne, and they twisted up the frame in a ditch. Regardless, love this build!

  • @MuddyBeards4X4

    @MuddyBeards4X4

    It hangs down too low, and would be in the way of the front axle and trac bar. Between the front bumper and the frame plating it has been plenty strong so far.

    Great looking S-10 4x4 especially with the Solid Axle up front. I am asking myself why I didn't just do the SAS for the money that I have already spent building my S-10 4x4 with the IFS and I still am not done, I am completely envious of what you have and maybe someday My S-10 CrewCab LS 4x4 ZR5 will finally get its SAS.

Every shop that I took my S-10 to turned me down because they called Rough Country which informed that it will not fit I finally found a shop in Auburn/Opelika, Alabama that didn't do what I asked to be done and then kept asking for more money also complaining about the installation and still didn't do the job right. There's alot more to this story but I am going to stop with that. I am not tech savvy learning along the way main goal is to be able to communicate with you if position as to what else I can do to gain extra lift. @@MuddyBeards4X4 Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family Sir, I apologize for the late response for I am learning as to how to respond return messages. I have always been a solid axle 4x4 owner this is actually my second IFS build the first was also a 1988 Chevy S-10 extended cab 4x4 but not as much of a lift as this one on the 2003 plus I was alot younger and more capable of doing the work myself as to being a future mechanic. I enjoy watching your videos and honestly miss having the ability and opportunity to work on my S-10 myself things have changed since then with my health so I basically rely on others to do the job for me. I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression for I sure wish it was LS powered but the S-10 is not it's still stock 4.3L/ V6, reference as to the LS is the model interior. I Thank You Very Much Sir and I look forward to seeing more upcoming videos, GREAT JOB and WORK that you do. I Thank You Sir.
